I just bought this sgw just last week. Really happy with the performance but not so happy with battery usage. By the way, Im very new in this Android version so in other words, alot of tweaking need to be done first.

SOMEHOW, my new baby just strike by lighting or something. That time I was playing my favourite game called "Angry Bird" and all the sudden the screen just black out! I try to restart the hp and also try removing the battery and put it back, but still no luck. The Hp just die off like that. I was shocked and say what the f*** is going on!.

Another factor is that my sister was trying to call me while Im playing the game that time. Im pretty sure thats what trigger the black out!

I send it over to samsung sc yesterday and they told me it was the motherboard kong! Luckyly it still under warranty and it will take latest by next week to get it back. I guess i'm one of the not so lucky person.

wow really hoping ill not that unlucky.. even still under warranty but still need to send to them again.. gonna get ths phone this friday

Run is can run of course but not that smooth la compared to other higher end phones or even Tegra 2 tablet the EEE Pad Transformer. It still lags a bit in the Galaxy W but appears playable.

Hopefully u can get claim warranty because if they check ur phone kena lightning they then the warranty will void de.

Nope, don"t think the phone hit by lightning otherwise Samsung Malaysia will reject the warranty claim. I think motherboard got fried la......... If lightning strike need send SGW owner for warranty claim instead ......LOL

new galaxy w owner here..changed from ace to w because of the tremendous spec and price. the spec is better and much better from htc desire.but as u can see..desire's launchdate price is much2 higher than this.

i dont mind about gorilla glass.. i dont mind about being not a samoled.. what matters is value for money. even on slcd, the colors and pixel density is awesome.it's not like it's ugly.. its actually awesome screen even just slcd.

for those looking forward for a powerful phone but with a budget constraint..i fully recommends to buy galaxy w.

Bro, how can compare like that? Desire was launched more than 1 year ago, at that time it one of THE best Android phones around, and won Phone of the Year 2010. We get better technology at a cheaper price all the time. One year from now when Galaxy W2 launches with dual-core, 1GB RAM at RM799, people will say the same about Galaxy W...

even tho its not using gorilla glass but its using samsung anti scratch glass....u try scratch your phone screen & see
