It could be earmites.

QUOTE(ax_86 @ Feb 9 2012, 07:46 PM)
Thanks for the information.. I already check his ear but nothing seem like brown-ish discharge.i already bring him to vet before for medical checkup and the vet cleans everything including his ear. I am newbie in this area so i think for the best i just bring him to vet tomorrow.. :-D And for the milk i'll start like u suggest tonight. Thanks..

QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Feb 9 2012, 01:12 PM)
Dear Listiani,

You might not believe me if I told you that a friend's cat was diagnosed with FIP.
It was vrey weak and could not even stand up.
So this friend of mine who had recommended me TF also recommended this friend to give her cat TF.
She gave 5 TF capsules in the morning and 5 in the evening.
First few days reaction, cat could eat on its own.
Then could get up but still weak.
Then could get up and started to walk around.
The most surprising one is that we got a call from the cats owner crying and we thought that her cat had died.
However, she said 'no'.  She was crying because her cat was back to its usual self.
She told us that her cat had walked up the staircase and had greeted her outside her bedroom door like it usually did before.
We were estastic when we heard this.
Now the cat is still on TF but the dosage has been reduced.
TF is known to to strengthen the body immune system and building up the antibody to fight the bad virus that is attacking the body.
You might not believe me but this is based on a true story.

Opps! Idk why I missed out your comment lol.
Nope They never say I can post it in their forum, but they say I should try to raise fund by my self through facebook and so on.
It's okay if you can't donate, just share the info hoping for others to help! <3
Actually, Furry Friend's Farm will be the place Silver staying in the future! With the others FIV+ cats. Haha
It is a Ragdoll mix, not Siamese mix. =P
Check inside of his ear, got brown-ish discharge or not. If yes, sapu minyak gamat/ turmeric paste in his ear. Or bring to vet for Ear mites injection(twice and it will be gone for at least a year+).
Try dilute the milk with water? So at least he get the taste of it, start with maybe 1/8 and slowly replace with more water.

Chi Chi on her way to her new home after being adopted on 23/10/2011..

she was adopted together with her good fren Pi Pi (tabby) cos I didn't have the heart to separate them since they were in the same cage at the shelter.. but sadly Pi Pi was catnapped along with her cage last December.. I'll never forgive the thief! mad.gif

and the sad thing was that her left eye was permanently damaged (it was already damaged when i adopted her) while her right eye was blur.. i used to bring her to the vet every week just to make sure her right eye would not get worse.. only god knows how she is doing right now.. cry.gif

Listiani,

I met Dr. Jonathan last night when me and my friend brought a pregnant stray cat for an emergency ceaserean.
We 'sempat mengumpat' about you ha..ha...
Dun worry its good 'mengumpat' not bad one.
The pregnant stray had 6 babies.
The first one normal birth but the second one was stuck therefore had to do emergency ceaserean to save the remaining babies.
All together there were 5 babies.
But the funny thing is that the mum is a normal DSH but the babies are all DLH!
Their fur was so LONG and curly!
Now babies are with surrogate mum (also a stray) that I found in my apartment block.
The surrogate mum is so kind. She welcomed all five babies like her own.
We are so thankful to her.
If babies survive, they will be put up for adoption. smile.gif

dear all cat experts, my cat suddenly loses her appetite.. i notice for the past few days she just looked at her food.. normally she's crazy about orijen.. even eating her sister's portion..

fyi, i ordered orijen from kl (i didn't know there's one shop selling orijen in kuching) a month ago and when the package arrived i noticed that the packet was not sealed properly so the food is not fresh anymore.. usually i give her fresh ones (the one bought in kuching).. could this be the problem??? and now even when i give her the fresh ones she doesn't seem to be interested..

apart from that, there's this male cat who keeps on following her and tried to mate with her.. i guess he failed cos my chi chi is still a kitten, and she didn't give any response.. could this be a problem as well??? maybe she's traumatized or depressed?

i will try to give her some wet food after this and see whether she has the appetite.. if she still refuses to eat, then i'll bring her to the vet..

Hi all,

I plan to buy a cat cage for my cats. I currently have one adult female cat & her 5 kittens. She give birth last month, Friday the 13th. Right now my cat is let loose in the house but since her kittens now can get out & in freely from their temporary home (a box actually), I need to find them a cage. So, anyone know whether I can or not buy this online? Or anyone here live in Parit Buntar who can advice me any good cat shop?

sharing tips:
1. Wet tissue is good if u cannot bath your cat because it just spayed or neutered, or if u need a quick way to clean from stain and odor.

Hi there, I just found two kittens roaming around my backyard for the past two days. The mother seems missing for reason unknown to me. They are big enough to eat solid food. I have made up my mind and are going to care for them. What I want to knownare how much is the cost of deworming and is the process really necessary? What else should I do other than that?

I am sorry if my question kinda oblivious to all of you. It s just that I never entered this part of Lowyat before this.

Thanks

Thanks

Good for you Redzaril for taking the kittens in.
Yes, it is necessary to ensure that the kittens are dewormed and vacinated.
Vacination is necessary for the first 3 months and thereafter once a year.
This is to boost up the kittens immune system so that the body is strong enought to fight off diseases.
Deworming is also very important as worms in the tummy can cause a lot of sickness in a cat too e.g. skinny as the worms are eating all the nutrients, diarhea etc
Little things like vacination and deworming will save your kittens from getting serious illness thus saving you lots of $$$$. thumbup.gif
Next would be neutering when the kittens reach the right age.
Neutering would prevent unwanted pregnancies and kittens!

Usually cats will groom themselves so not necessary to clean them up unless very dirty.
I too use wet tissue (for babies with no alcohol) for my daily cleaning in cats e.g. cleaning their ears, wiping their faces etc
Its very useful.
