QUOTE(D_L @ Nov 16 2011, 10:31 AM) yesterday when i got back from work...there were poo all over the kitchen floor...i suspected she didn't want to go to her litter box coz there were her pee n poo already...i think i need to search for the litter sand or the clumping clay...but a friend of mine suggest to use shredded paper..is it ok if i use that? i suggest u use litter sand la...so not to geli when u do cleaning on the litter pand.just cost u a little bit.i also notice since yesterday her poo seems a bit semi liquid...i gave my cat orijen but the previous owner fed her with blackwood...can the sudden change of food can upset her stomach too? sorry for the many questions...i'm still noob in keeping cat but i'll try my best.. but not to much for it the quantity of blackwood in mixing on next meal.good luck |

Yes, check Maskargo website, there's info about importing cats or other pets...it's tedious(leceh),you'll need papers and clearance from Vets, Jabatan Haiwan etc, from both importing & exporting countries... From which country you want to import? If from selected commonwealth countries like UK, Australia, dont have to quarantine it, otherwise the cat will have to be quarantine at the airport for sometime.. Added on November 17, 2011, 10:19 am
not an easy work....very leceh one...especially when u want to do a clearence in maskargo...mine already arrive past 2 week ago.... every counter that u dealing with will cost u a money lol... Added on November 17, 2011, 9:29 am Care to share your experience? from which country, cattery? Need to quarantine? What's the rough estimate total cost?
\ mine need to be quarantine for 7 day only...acctually the last time i ask the quarantine officer,he said any cat from Australia need to be quarantine for 10 day minimum upon arrival.because they found a new disease from there..before this i also heard that any cat from australian no need to be quarantine. starting from animal hotel, just spare around RM200..just incase..for enterence pass RM10/person,Kastam form service around RM25-27 RM5 errr...i forgot what for lol....Animal Hotel around RM50. Quarantine 7 day = RM113.00 but not include cat food.but this one pay after quarantine period. This post has been edited by beawolf64: Nov 17 2011, 05:42 PM |

QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ Nov 17 2011, 01:25 PM) hi, share your experience here la. maybe this link will help you...just give a try...Thought of bringing a pair of BSH from there. But might as well get them from USA since i found a cattery that doesn't require their pets to be spayed/neutered. http://www.dvs.gov.my/web/guest/importregulations first of all, make sure u already have import permit 30 day before shipment.then scan and email those permit to eksporting behalf..after u get the flight detail, booked your space in Maqis.acttually no need to booked also ok.but better do it if u want to put your cat in Air-cond space |

QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ Nov 17 2011, 10:42 PM) Hi there thanks for the link. For a start to be honest, I don't mind getting one desexed blue BSH. I have that thought of breeding initially but perhaps not in a rush so therefore I actually don't mind having one neutered BSH for a long-life companionship. Since it seems you have bought one from the Bluebabe cattery in Malaysia, do you mind me asking how much did they charge you for the cat alone? I'm trying to compare the costs of importing one from overseas to M'sia or just buying one from the cattery in here. Heard they charge you an arm and a leg for a kitten. So might as well be a smart buyer and evaluate pros and cons of both methods. welcome emy...so u decide to have a pet quality kitten.my suggestion is buy them from local breeder..yeah sometime they look likes overcharges And thanks for the link of the cattery in Aus. They seem to have such beautiful blue kitties. But do they actually provide international shipping for the kitties? Sorry ya if i ask you a lot of things, since you have started negotiating with them, might as well ask directly from you. Hi thanks for your feedback. I will try to understand about the procedures well. Quite a hassle but since importing one from overseas for a pet quality BSH is practically cheaper than buying one from Malaysia cattery. I don't really like certain catteries' policies here in M'sia, and some really put a very expensive price for a kitten for a pet quality kitten. And no, Im not talking about the BSH kitten, it's just i know some catteries over charge expensively because they are monopolising some breeds. for a kitten, but for me it depend on sire and dam.sometime litter from CH , GC, QGC (champion line)parentage and bloodline will be charge a little bit higher than other.but i totally agree with your view about overprice on certain breed that been monopoly by some catteries.plus some of it just dont want to sell any kitten for malaysian except for pet quality.anyway emy...good luck.. |

QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Dec 2 2011, 12:52 PM) So far I have no problems in sending my cats for neutering at SPCA Klinik Kembiri. I have sent a few stray cats as well as my own cats for neutering there and so far so good. Price range is good as I get good price from Mr. Krishnan. I have recently organise a SPAY/NEUTER program with a private vet in Sri Kembangan. Package include before and after operation care and 2 days boarding. Male is at RM70 and females is at RM100.00. thanks cutiepie69...i will try and see the result..Those interested can contact me Added on December 2, 2011, 12:53 pm You can feed your cat with Lysinc or Vitamin B complex which will enhance your cats appetite. For the vitamin B complex you can buy from the government hospital. Dont buy from the pharmacy as the pills are too big for the cats. Also Vitamin B Complex is good for the fur. It will make your cats fur shiny and more healthy. Added on December 2, 2011, 12:56 pm The best litter for me would be OKO Plus which is made from wood. It clumps and its flushable. Also its not smelly compared to other wood types that I have used. Since using it my cats room does not smell like before. Now the room is odorless. Unbelievable but TRUE! |
