Orijen. it won Petfood of the year award by some petfood research industries or something for 3 consecutive years...
Both brand are super premium grain-free catfood which are very good. Evo have more meat but orijen are better overall.

Great! I just ordered from a seller in KL cos I can't find Orijen here in Kuching.. Currently I give RC & Blackwood for my cats.. But after reading various cat's forums, I guess I should give Orijen a shot..

If you are going to use Oko plus you do not need to use the double litter tray as Oko plus is clumping.
You only need to use the double litter tray when using wood pellets e.g. feline fresh etc.

Chi Chi on her way to her new home after being adopted on 23/10/2011..

she was adopted together with her good fren Pi Pi (tabby) cos I didn't have the heart to separate them since they were in the same cage at the shelter.. but sadly Pi Pi was catnapped along with her cage last December.. I'll never forgive the thief! mad.gif

dear all cat experts, my cat suddenly loses her appetite.. i notice for the past few days she just looked at her food.. normally she's crazy about orijen.. even eating her sister's portion..

fyi, i ordered orijen from kl (i didn't know there's one shop selling orijen in kuching) a month ago and when the package arrived i noticed that the packet was not sealed properly so the food is not fresh anymore.. usually i give her fresh ones (the one bought in kuching).. could this be the problem??? and now even when i give her the fresh ones she doesn't seem to be interested..

apart from that, there's this male cat who keeps on following her and tried to mate with her.. i guess he failed cos my chi chi is still a kitten, and she didn't give any response.. could this be a problem as well??? maybe she's traumatized or depressed?

i will try to give her some wet food after this and see whether she has the appetite.. if she still refuses to eat, then i'll bring her to the vet..

Great news for Kuchingites residing in DBKU area.. smile.gif Kudos to DBKU & SSPCA!!!

::SERTAI PROGRAM “CAT ADOPTION” & SPAYING/NEUTERING DBKU!

Pets can now get passports and chips from Veterinary Dept

By TERENCE TOH

KUALA LUMPUR: Dogs, cats, horse and rabbits can now get passports with their medical history from the Department of Veterinary Services and have chips placed under their skin to make it easier for owners to trace them if they go missing.

Director-General Datuk Dr Abd Aziz said that pet owners could obtain the Pet Passports, or Malaysian Animal Identification Cards by registering their pets at the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) offices or through specially qualified veterinarians appointed by the department.

“Pet Passports are important because they collect all your pet's vital information into one document, which will make it easier for customs officers at national borders to confirm the health and immunisation records of your pets,” he said at the official launch of the Pet Passport at the Veterinary Management Centre in Kajang here.

Each passport, Dr Abdul Aziz said, would contain the pet's photograph, together with information about the animal, its owner, and its medical and movement records.

“The system can help track pets through their microchips, and identify their owners in missing animal cases.

“All information will be recorded in the Pet Passport system, which will become part of the basic national data,” he said.

The department was also studying DNA identification techniques to be implemented in future for greater accuracy in identifying the animals, he said.

The DVS was targeting pet owners in the Klang Valley for now but Pet Passports would soon be expanded to other parts of Malaysia, he said.

For now, registration was focused on dogs, cats, horses and rabbits but would be expanded to include other pets in the future, he said.

Registration of dogs, cats and rabbits cost RM7 while it would be RM9 for horses.

However, the price did not include the price of microchips, physical examinations, pictures, or other service costs.
