normally how much for vacinne at tmn segar vet here? deworming i have feed the deworm pill myself...when thru hell... lol
*
I usually go to Klinik Yuan for vacine as he charges RM25 only. Extra RM5 for deworming. Another vet is Dr. Zoul who is home base in Seri Kembangan. Vacine less than RM30 too. Service tip top and some more open at night so can go after work. thumbup.gif

You can buy the pill popper which makes feeding pills so easy rclxms.gif

Seri Kembangan too far LOL. Klinik Yuan at Pandan Indah?
*
Yup. Same row as the famous kedai Mamak 'Steven's Corner'.
It's a row of shops, Steven's Corner at the other end and Klinik Yuan the other end nearer to the Shell Station.

For female cat, usually range around RM80~RM160. Depending on your location. I'd strongly advice not to go for government or SPCA spaying. You don't want them to screw u your beloved cat, especially when female cats need to be cut at the stomach area and stitch it back. Some of these cheaper service don't do their job properly.
They don't usually sell big stuff like pet carrier, but there will be booth that will sell some cat toy or kibbles.
Yes open for public! But don't bring your cat there ah! Lololol
So far I have no problems in sending my cats for neutering at SPCA Klinik Kembiri. I have sent a few stray cats as well as my own cats for neutering there and so far so good. Price range is good as I get good price from Mr. Krishnan. I have recently organise a SPAY/NEUTER program with a private vet in Sri Kembangan. Package include before and after operation care and 2 days boarding. Male is at RM70 and females is at RM100.00.

Those interested can contact me biggrin.gif

guys any suggestions on vitamins or supplements that can make my kitten eat more..seems that she don't eat much...i fed her with orijen..usually i don left the food for so long, afraid that it will 'masuk angin' oredi'...at 1st i thought dat was the problem but when i pour new 1 also she will eat a little bit only...but its different when i gave her the wet food...that was only the time i saw she will eat a lot but i'm only planning to give her wet food mayb once a week as treats..

can i give my 3 months kitten treats such as the chewy meat?...tried yesterday n she seemed to have hard time to chew it..lol
*
You can feed your cat with Lysinc or Vitamin B complex which will enhance your cats appetite. For the vitamin B complex you can buy from the government hospital. Dont buy from the pharmacy as the pills are too big for the cats. Also Vitamin B Complex is good for the fur. It will make your cats fur shiny and more healthy.

Added on December 2, 2011, 12:03 pm smile.gif hi guys....

what your opinion about litter medium for cat...either sand or wood type....which one better and appropriate for indoor use.
currently i use litter sand, but keep thinking about the result that i will get if i switch to wood type.which one better for clean, hygenic
and odourless result...thanks
*
The best litter for me would be OKO Plus which is made from wood. It clumps and its flushable. Also its not smelly compared to other wood types that I have used. Since using it my cats room does not smell like before. Now the room is odorless. Unbelievable but TRUE!

*
Its for human consumption.
But please buy from HUKM or other government hospitals as the pills are small and easy for the cats to swallow

oh? where to get those from? currently using Feline brand.. still ok so far smile.gif but if the OKO Plus is much better, i might change to that smile.gif
*
Its definitely better.
I used to use wood with carbon but still smells.
Since changing to oko no smell at all.
You can buy from mid valley, home pet at sri petaling.
I also can help you buy at rm130 for 40 litres about 30kg.
Outside rm150 and above.

I am using avc on my cats and definitely see the results. My cats has no fleas or ticks, poo and wee wee not smelly and fur is shiny too. On top of that i use avc for fungal treatment as well as for colds. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

after weeks of worrying that why my cat didn't eat so much n she becomes a bit skinny, finally i decided to buy a repacked of blackwood kitten to mix with orijen that i bought before (suggested by the previous owner)...seems that she likes the blackwood more as i can see she finished up the blackwood kibbles but not the orijen..trying to give her the best but i think i'll settle with blackwood for now as long as she keep on eating n becomes healthy.. happy.gif
*
Some cats are picky about their food.
It does not mean you buy the best food that they will eat it.
My cats are the same too.
Very fussy eaters.
After eating Blackwood they refuse to eat other brands.
Now all my cats are on Blackwood kitten and so far I am most happy with the results biggrin.gif

Really have to bring my cat go for spay... >.<

but i can't make decision which vet should i go.

can anyone recommended a vet that can be trust and nice?
although is a small surgery, but i'm quite worry too.
thanks a lot
*
Hi Badtzcarol,

Yes, you are right about being worried in sending cats for spaying and nuetering.
If you go to professional vets you need not to worry about your pet.
I usually send mine either to SPCA Klinik Kembiri, Dr. Teoh or Dr. Zoul in Sri Kembangan.
So far I am very satisfied.

smile.gif  anyone can suggest any best vet and the price are reasonable for blood test around K.L or Selangor?..got several cat need to do an FeLV, FIV , HCM test. icon_question.gif
*
Basically all tests are standard prices.
The test kits costs around RM60 to RM80.
However bear in mind that the test is not 100% accurate.
Also if you test your cat today the result might be negative and after a few months it could be positive.
Talk to your Vet and see if it is necessary to do the tests as you might only waste RM$$$$.
I prefer Dr. Teoh at Pandan Indah as he is very thorough and he will explain in detail to you.

y wanna cage up a cat?
*
Sometimes its best to cage up a cat especially when you are doing housework e.g. mopping the floors.
Since the floor detergent is harmful to cats its best to put them in a cage until the wet floor dries up.
This way we can prevent our fur kids from licking their paws when they touch the wet floor.

my cats' breath stinks =.=
anyone here brushes their cat's teeth?
*
Sometimes cats breath smell because of :-

1) food that they eat
2) having infection on their gums
3) tartar on their teeth

try to buy Greenies Oral which helps to remove tartar on the cats teeth. Greenies is by Science Diet.

QUOTE(coolingwater @ Dec 13 2011, 02:24 PM)
Hi there, i don't know where to ask questions about my cat but i think here is the right place.

My cat hasn't been himself lately, i notice that his not very active, and likes to just sleep around and laze here and there. I also notice that he coughs and sneezes a lot as well. Not too sure if this is related but my John John scratches his left ears a lot, up to the extend that his hind legs enters the ear canal, and the other day there was this dried liquid oozing from the ear.

My parents are reluctant to bring the car to the vet for reasons that the cat is always like that (which kinda pisses me off because im 20 and im not stupid) so if there is any cause for concerns i would bring it to the vet. So if you could please help out, i would appreciate it very much! Cheers
*
Hi there Cooling Water,

Looks like your cat is having ear mites.
Look inside the ear and see if there is black wax inside the ears.
If yes, then its definitely earmites that is causing your little one to scratch.
Get a bottle of Troy Cranker Ear drops.
Clean the ear, then drop two to three drops inside the ear and massage at the base of the ear.
Do this until you see there is no more black discharge coming out.

How many times u fed him ? Try increase the no. of times u fed him . Make it more frequent smile.gif

i feed him wet food often, usually 7am, then 10am, then around 1pm, 5pm, 8pm and 10pm..usually a 2-4 big full table spoon each time, if i put a lot at 1 time, he will not finish it. as for dry food, it's always in his cage.

Feeding frequently is one of the way to fatten up your cat however you will need to determine the reason why he is not putting on weight. Firstly has your cat been dewormed? Worms inside the cats stomach will feed on the nutrients of the food therefore theynare getting fatnwhilst yourncat is not. Secondly your cat might have bad bacteria inside its digestive system and therefore cannot absorb all the nutrients from the good food that you are feeding. You can either syringe feed your cat with yoghurt that has live bacteria. Cats might not like it due to the sour taste then you can invest in a bottle of prebiotic which you can buy from guardian. Pop open the capsule and pour the contents into the wet food and mix it so that your cat will eat it. Do this daily for two weeks.

Food high in protein can help eg boiled chicken breast or egg yolk (no whites) mixed with wet food will put weight on him. Kitten food also helps.

Supplements to enhance appetite eg lysince will also increase its appetite.

Hope the above will help you icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(D_L @ Jan 6 2012, 04:21 PM)
hi all..i'm currently kinda worried bout my DLH kitten Lilo...she's being infected with fungus on her right paw n currently on her 1st week treatment that needed me to feed her the medicine everyday....already started since monday but there is no improvement...all i can see her paw becomes worst...juz feel sad coz i can't let her out n she can't also play with my other cat.

still dunno what's the cause for the infections as i clean the cats' litter box everytime i saw pee or poo...i also wiped their playpen's and room's floor everyday after work..sumtimes with dettol sumore...

currently i also apply some antifungus cream to her paws and it seems the fungus already infected her left elbow area too....everytime i come to her room, she will give this sad look as saying to let her go out n play but i don want other area to get infected too...other than that she eats, drinks, pee n poo as usual..

thinkin of going to the vet again but she's already on 1 week treatment so mayb i'll juz have to be patient..juz hoping that she can be healthy again after dis..smile.gif
*
Why dont you try bathing her with Malaseb?
Malaseb is very good in treating fungus in cats and kittens.
I usually bathe my cats with this shampoo and dont even need to bring them to the vet.
For chronic cases, you will need to bathe your cat at least 3 times in a week.
For mild cases, once a week will be enough.
Do this until you see small little hairs growing. This usually happens very fast.
You will also need to disinfect your house and the sleeping area of the cat so that other cats in the house will not get infected. For your information fungal spores is spread by air so does not mean you quarantine your cat with fungal the other cats will not get it.
