he was on his period, i think.

after rereading everything back i guess he had a grudge on me for calling him a hypocrite and pointing out we already have a music thread.

I don't really know much about him or his personality so i didn't know what to expect. I pop into a thread and I saw scorch marks everywhere from the flame war.

You know... when i venture out into the general H & F category, there are still a lot of ignorance. Things I've encountered repeatedly are:-

1. Fat turning into muscles if you exercise.
2. You can eat anything you want as long as you train hard you still can lose weight.
3. Cardio is a MUST if you want to lose weight.
4. Should not diet, diet is also known as life loss. Cardio only better.

Wtf man. Who propagated all this crap.

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Nov 26 2011, 05:03 PM)
Oh no. There's nothing that gives me the shudders like going into the general G&F section.
My favorite of the lot is the advice for :

1) Hey, I wanna lose weight. What do I do?
2) Hey, I wanna gain weight. What do I do?
3) Hey, I sometimes can't sleep at night. What do I do?
4) Hey, I seem to fall sick easily. What do I do?
5) I'm training for a marathon, what do I do?
6) My shoulder hurts from benching, what do I do?
7) I broke my leg yesterday, what do I do?
<Add more questions>

Answer for all of the above :

Eat more fruits and vegetables. More healthy.

Look at this. One guy said no need to take multivites and fish oil anymore cos he's eating enough veggies and fruits.

The section outside drives me nuts!

ah, an enlightened one! ive pretty much stopped telling people how often i workout. usually some vague "oh every once a while". stops them from asking anything further. apparently 4 times a week is overkill...
lawl. cyloh actually quite active in the calisthenics thread.
i only venture out of the BB section when i have too much free time, then i LOL at the responses. cant be bothered answering them anymore. too much broscience out there.
*
No la, I'm just surprised that he can actually not be aware of the importance of multivites. They help a LOT in training. If you think about it, I never trained specifically for bodyweight pull up strength but I'm now pulling my bodyweight. Heck, even the one arm chin is going well on it's staging. But i don't actively train for that particular lift.

dude, your strength is INSANE. i doubt any BW exercise is gonna be a problem. probably just need a CNS or tendon tune up for a few sessions and you're ready to go
*
Lol, remember when i was benching 225 on the Smith and chatting with you at the same time? That's cos it was easy as pie. Nah, my pulling power needs to catch up with pulling. I'm dropping close grip chin ups for a while and substituting with hammer grip. My old wrist fractures and causing pain.

Actually if u asked them to define "Diet", they will tell u "Stop eating meat and rice (more likely everything), take more fruits and water. Worse... they are teaching others with this methodology. Man.....

Oh yes they love cardio.
*
Cardio is overrated. It's a supplementary tool for weight loss, not the end all means all. I hate it when people say you can eat whatever you want just exercise. Looking at my food pics, people assume i eat like that all the time but i never post pics of my healthy meals. Who wants to see chicken breasts and brown rice right?

Lol.

I seriously don't know what the f*ck is wrong with my body, been hammering the shit out of myself, upped it to 40 minutes of cardio, a cup of carbs each meal on training days and only half a cup of carbs on non training day. And after a full month I dropped from 113.6 to 106. Pathetic 7 kg in 4 weeks. I keep wondering if my maintenance calorie is like 1.5k because I keep dropping my calorie intake but I am not losing fast enough. I even dropped my post w/o shakes to just having solid meals. I seriously don't want drop any more carbs , i'm already hungry all the freaking time. And I eat every 2 - 3 hours
*
Lol. You do realize that when you BW goes lower, you need to adjust carbs accordingly. Protein is still calories. And excess cardio can blunt insulin sensitivity and be counter productive. I know how you feel. I'm still trying to cut some more. I'm still kinda fat.

Lol, that means whatever you're doing is not working if you are getting fatter. You might be recomping the wrong way. =P Gaining fat and losing muscle? Too much cardio is detrimental.

If you lose too much lean mass = BMR goes down = BMR goes down = hello fatty.

I mean... dieting is a 2 edged sword. Aim for 1 pound per week. Lose too fast and it screws you up.

1 lb a week. That's not even half a kilo a week . When I meant getting bigger , I meant my frame gets bigger, but with so much fat, I look more like a fat kid more than anything.
*
Lol, at least you realize it. But that's the important step to losing weight. Realization and self acceptance. A lot of youngsters take bulking too far and deny that they have high levels of bodyfat. The common reply I get when i poke them, they say I'm not fat. I'm just big or i have big bones. Fat is fat. Heh.

won't say i'm expert in dieting, but i kinda follow this diet in my initial stage of cutting and it worked.

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=131035713

i followed most of the diet part and have 2 days of cheat meals. but the initial stage amount of carb is insanely low, but gradually increases as the time goes.
might not work for everyone. but worth trying at least.

You whine a lot don't you? Juicing is a personal choice, do it or don't. And for your info, you need to cut more. Your muscle mass may not be as much as you think it is. You being big might not mean you have a lot of muscle mass. You don't know but maybe apart from juicing those guys have gotten solid training and diet advice too? I'm 40kgs lighter than you yet I lift a lot more than you in all lifts. Do you get what I mean? You have a long, long, long way more to go. You are still young and have a lot of potential. You're just too impatient.

No offense just my 2 cents.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Nov 28 2011, 04:14 PM)
Dude, I'm not whining I'm mentioning about being surprised that they juice. And I know I need to cut, I didn't say my big was muscular , I meant frame wise because there's a guy who competes and juice and yoked up so I was surprised that those guys were juicing too. I know this is a long road, if I am impatient I would have already dropped the whole cutting and persevering thing and just get substances from them. Melforc3 knows exactly how easy it is to get at my gym.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Nov 28 2011, 10:34 AM)
Then you proceed to find out every big guy in your gym actually juices. Facepalm

QUOTE(razorboy @ Nov 28 2011, 04:30 PM)
I have no grudge against juicers, remember that talk you and me had? That was it. I had a mindset that guys that train hard enough, diet hard enough, persevere and results will come. Then I found out that they juice and I was taken aback. But you gave me that talk and You got through to me. I understood that. I have no grudge against them whatsoever, I am even friends with them. Juice or no juice is a personal choice, I don't condone it but doesn't mean I despise those who do. Look man, why do you think I wanna meet Terry? To get to know how to juice ? I don't get it. If you insist that I am as what you say. All right, I apologise for that.
*
You don't have to apologize to me. The minor problem is within you. Even if my talk got through to you, you still bear a grudge against juicers. That's fine but don't let it spill over till it slowly starts affecting you again before you know it. A lot of people who juice subconsciously bear a grudge against other juicers when they find they're progressing faster than them. Slow and easy and be proud of what you've done naturally when you achieve the physique you've always wanted.

People think I juice, I actually agree with them when they ask. Then they ask I hentam apa. I just say I dunno, whatever syringe i find i just jab up my ass. It's a nice mindf***. Then I eat cheeseburgers in front of them. It's a nicer mindf*** cos i tell them juicing allows me to eat what i want.

Then some actually copied me and ate cheeseburgers non stop and got fat as hell. The best mindf***. See? Fun.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Nov 28 2011, 06:24 PM)
What a lot of people don't understand is that Dark has a very high caloric maintenance. And he plays with his macros a lot because he is able to find a sweet spot of his diet. Juice or no juice one shouldn't follow the way he eats, unles you are extremely clear on what you're doing and your calorie count.

Dark is a very experienced bodybuilder, so he is able to gauge what he does, but the guys that follow blindly, they think eatin like that help then get as ripped and yoked as dark.
*
Lol. Don't ever ever follow what I eat. Some people have tried it and gotten fat as f***! You're right I found the sweet spot. Nom nom nom....

QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Nov 28 2011, 09:33 PM)
yup, just saying that it really gets up my nerves when one says no point in training if you dont juice.
*
Don't care about them. You just do your thing man. These f***ers are losers if they think that way. I don't mind if you tell them I said so. Cos I'll probably say it to their faces if I met anyone like that.
