How to get the Siyah beta? the page at XDA only got the full version 2.0.

I guess I will use the Speedmod kernel. How does the battery life compare between them?

Latest is beta 9 running nicely since yesterday for me. http://www.gokhanmoral.com/

I'm quite certain mine is GT-i9100 instead of GT-i9100G.

But is having G-version necessarily a bad thing? I thought Ti OMAP is the future standard for high-end Android phones
*
Having g version is not necessarily a bad thing,g version stock rom has better power management, less heat and more games support. but downside is that g version no custom rom or kernel to ply with.

G version is not a bad thing. Just that there is no custom rom / kernel for it. Just root kernel at the moment. G and non G roms/kernels are NOT interchangable because cpu different.

Though the TI Omap 4430 is stated as 1 ghz, I think samsung OC it to 1.2 ghz to match the SGS2 specs. Users reported that it uses 1 ghz more. Also it seems to have better battery life than non g version

Just one question: G version... is it just as fluid and smooth as the non G version? As in web browsing(biggest priority) and the general User Interface..

Anyone havin experience that calendar keeping device awake? i set a reminder n it kept my phone awake for a super long time. Deleting the reminder doesnt help,so i had to freeze it in titanium backup shakehead.gif in BBS,the main wakelock is called calendaralertservice, why would it still be running even though i already deleted the reminder? hmm.gif now its no more draining batt as i oredy froze it.

Should be smooth as ti omap 4430 is a very powerful processor.

Thanks for the link. Flashing it now. You said in the previous thread that voltage control can control all the voltages and frequencies of the CPU and GPU right?

OK, got it all up and running. You should try out the new blue theme by JKay, under KitchenPro. The animations are sweet, and combined with the battery circle and the blue wallpaper, the phone has a crazy cool blue look.

You should add KI4 to your question. XXKI3 came first then XXKI8 and the latest XXKI4 all run 2.3.5. Since there is no changelog no one really knows. Just from people feedbacks, KI4 seems the smoothest.
