As I read. Skyactiv Mazda3 not only skyactiv engine. It's also skyactiv body, skyactiv chassis, suspension. That's why they call skyactiv technology, not only the engine.

ya...i heard my mazda6 friends told me b4.

skyactive is a tech tat apply on the whole car. and he said main point is lighter body weight but without reducing the body strength.

What r u talking about? I clearly disliked the Civic comparing it to M3. I swore to god for being honest and not bias just because I'm a Mazda3 owner. Please read my post again.

For so long I've been on this post I have never seen someone that talks like you. Don't ask ppl to shut their mouth and trust what you said. We are thankful that you provide information for us on this forum. This is to share our info and knowledge and discuss about it. Most of the Mazda3 owners here are so polite and we are like a family here sharing everything we know and experience about the car. When you first started to post here, I understand u knew not much Bout Mazda3 and u did alot of research on it. Thanks for sharing your information here. This is not the place for u to tell ppl to shut their mouth and trust what you said. Pls be polite here as we are all polite ppl who share laughter and happiness owning the car.

Thank you very much

Dear bro M3White,

I believe most of us M3 owners appreciate your info here.
But honestly, I find it hard to understand what you are saying sometimes. wink.gif
However, from what I understand, I also agree & believe that the SkyActiv engine will not be launched so soon.

As you mentioned before, it's all about the "dollars & cents"
Bermaz is not going to spend a fortune replacing whatever stock they have with SkyActiv engines just for the sake of the consumers.

1st of all, they do not currently have the tech to mass produce it and it will cost a lot to upgrade their equipment to produce it
2ndly, I believe, like you, that they will want to clear off all existing stock before producing the new SkyActiv engine.

One way of doing that is by launching a new facelifted version to drive demand.

Hope this clarifies things to our other bretheren out there. smile.gif

Cheers!

the other day i've test drove M3 2.0, it was feeling is unexpected. The road noise was bad even at 70km/h... is this a common issue?

I love Mazda 3 however because of he above i feel that it isn't worth the money sad.gif my gf was also discouraging me from buying it due to that.

Honestly I do agree on that. But sometimes depending on the road condition too. But I admit that the road noise for Mazda 3 is a little louder than other cars of the same segment.

After all, Mazda 3 is a fun and exciting car. All I do is just turn on the audio with some nice music to drown the road noise. Most of the time the road I use to travel doesn't give too much of Road noise. So its not a matter to me.

Which car is worth the money to you in your mind now?

aren't the road noise can be reduced by changing the default tire to other tire as mentioned in 1st page?

I do have the same problem during test drive but to be honest, still acceptable but just try to find fault when you are considering a 130k car.

Yes Ofcourse changing the default tyre is a solution but that is an extra cost.

True to what you said but I would suggest you to try out the new Honda civic and you see the difference. New civic road noise may be lesser but I will get what I mean smile.gif

Yes I know... I was referring to the all new civic. The road noise been reduced quite well but still can't beat altis road noise reduction. Anyway, depends on what you want. If u are happy with the car, you will find everything reason to love it. Haha..

I can't accept the road noise when my 7 yr old Accent does it better.. sad.gif i've tested on the road i normally use hence it will be an issue. Well people can say is just an excuse but it is 1 of my criteria when looking for a car. Noise level, comfort, stability.

I've ruled out Civic & M3 already. So far still in the list is Altis & Slphy..

Btw i'm not here to flame or anything, in fact i still love Mazda as a whole. if i were to change car again i'll still try Mazda
