I went to Mazda showroom with my 2 friends, they wanted to have CX5 & the dealer said 6-9 months.
My friends agreed & ask the dealer for the contract like this:

i) Both of them agreed to take CX5 at 2 units with the deposit of RM2k
ii) In return, the CX5 ll be delivered within 6-8 months, if later then 8 mths or 240 days (30x8=240), dealers ll need to compensate DOUBLE.
iii) The deal is off, dealer can't promised but if 12 months, he said ok

Conclusion
1) Tax for SUV not as high as Sedan/HB as it's NOT direct compete with our nasional car.
2) To avoid high demands, government set up a rules to control by setting the quota.
That is Y the waiting list is up to a year (same case with Prius C scenario).
If U don't believe this, bring your cash to those countries practices open market like Australia or US & see how long the waiting ll be, takes AP bring back to Msia.
3) Mazda is 1 step in ahead their competitors, especially T & H in skyactiv engine. They invented this engine for their biz to generate profits & NOT just to play-play.
SUV (CX5) vs Salon (M3)
Both segment with difference customers. Example, I am NOT appreciate CX5 even though can get it now withiout Qas my dish is a sports car (M3).
Mazda is not stupid like P1
T & H used to bully us as our loyalty mindset (Thai' ppl always 1 step ahead us). Example, Thailand lauched leather black interior for our uncle car (Altis), Civic L spec, 6 -9 months later it reached us (we r behind). Last 9 months back, Vios with push start but where are we?
If I said, we loyalt to H & T, so that they take granted on us, NOT SMART right?
Unlike M, understand needs or wants for their customers to be fulfill.
If they bring skyactiv engine, do u thing lll help their M3 biz?
i) By logic also, how huge M3 demands ll be increase if M3 with skyactiv?
Design & engine unbeatble (smart guy get inspira but pure smart + intelligent guy get M3).
ii) Don't u think M3 ll be happy if their local assemble (CKD) & demands for M3 as great as CX5 due to skyactiv?
Can M3 hit uncle car for T & unggly + stupid design from H?

Based on M3 CBU model, do u know Malaysia is the 2nd counry to enjoy this model (2009) aft Japan.
We are ahead not only Thailand but SEA. Unless u buy T & H, u ll always be behind Thailand (yet still happy)

Bros, M3 ll 100% (not 99.9% unsure- like liquip detergent advertisement) installed their skyactiv engine in M3.
I really ve this infomation from someone realible but I ll not betray him as at the 1st place, he is not really comfortable to tell me. Since he closed to me, he ask me not to rush for the current M3 as I ll regret (skyactiv really powerful engine with EXTREMELY low FC, 6L/100KM ll be here soon, worth to wait)

Not many time in my life for hoping the weekend to be past as soon as it could... 

Honestly I do agree on that. But sometimes depending on the road condition too. But I admit that the road noise for Mazda 3 is a little louder than other cars of the same segment.

After all, Mazda 3 is a fun and exciting car. All I do is just turn on the audio with some nice music to drown the road noise. Most of the time the road I use to travel doesn't give too much of Road noise. So its not a matter to me.

Which car is worth the money to you in your mind now?

After readings all ur comments, I find it very hard to comprehend, if u want skyactive so much but dont want to wait, go cx-5, if want it in M3, then go stay in Japan/US, they have it now (even cheaper).

If want to get Bermaz throw in all features inside M3 now, go buy the company & decide to do it now, it will benefit most of us as consumer n M3 enthusiasts... Else no need whining that our current M3 dont have this dont have that. Its a simple marketing strategy. Of coz they want to clear current engine stock, getting gov approval on new skyactiv model & itll be slow since mazda is not a popular model like other mainstream brands.

We here only the owner & potential owner of M3 that we want to enjoy the ride, sharing on improvement n enhancement... Its like what motivators used to say, "stop complain of what we dont have, but think of how to cherish what we have"

Ooo btw, if want kaw2 models enter our shores at cheap price, go shake the current gov thru ur vote... They dictate whether car companies can bring their model in or not n dictate the price to safekeep P1 & P2, national car will not die, but if they being pampered by gov like now, they never improve n rakyat still think their cars reliability is still inferior. all need to do is to make sure they are not pampered and they need to struggle to compete by provide us with more models with all features, reliable parts, awesome look, good bank loan rates and of course very cheap price tag compared to now...

Bro M3White, If you have made up your mind to wait, then wait. Why do you keep saying what is not available in the current M3 or what is not your preference? We all know it here. If its here, then good for you, if its not then you wait. If you cant wait, buy the mps cause u want power. Else, get the cx5.

Please, Civic didnt copy the preve. Civic concept was introduced during 2011 or earlier i cant remember much. Way before preve was launched. Proton Preve began production during the late 2011 with no news of concept or any teasers. So who's copying who now ? Personally for me, the Civic tail light resembles the Fourth generation of Honda City before facelift and it was during year 2002. Persona facelift only introduced during 2010. So who's copying who now?

In conclusion, i wanna be proud of our national cars, but i wouldnt think any established car company out there would wanna take proton as an example or even copy them.

what say you?

Yup, currently only HB but Sedan is estimated to be here in 3 weeks time.

I have used Michelin for years and now using Goodyear F1A2.
got for F1A2, either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 , u wont regret it.

I never worried about the sidewall issues coz i always do the followings:

1.  always ensure the air pressure is maintained at optimum (32/33/34 psi), if possible, use N2 and only top up once in 1.5 or 2 months. A stronger pressure will help to withstand the risk of tyres burst due to potholes and encourage a proper thread wear.

2. Slow down if the road condition is bad and being slow it give u enough time to avoid potholes, also good for the drive shaft and arms.

I just applied for 1.6 Sedan - and best I heard is HLB - 2.45% for 7 years.

I wonder what is the correct angle for the reverse camera, shall it be showing a wide rear view with limited rear bumper shown in the display?

GS installed mine, in the DVD screen I see half of it is my bumper and the other half is the ground. I find this angle not really practical to me, it tilts too much.

Just wanna confirm with you guys since we all M3 should have installed it at similar position and show similar angle. Maybe I upload a picture later, pictures from you guys are much appreciated as well.

If possible skip the MC5. If yours is 16in try to get the Yokohama advan db 551. If yours in 17in then go for the goodyear F1 A2. MC5 performance is okay, just damned noisy and loud IMHO.

Just to share some thoughts after weeks with the conti MC5, Im awared of road noise issue with M3 so first thing i do when I got the car is to check the road noise instead of performance. The first few days, it did annoyed me honestly so I dropped by my friend's tyre shop to get solution. Then I questioned about ps3, a2, Yokohama all that. He is a close friend of mine so he kinda know what's the point behind my questions, without talking much he hooked up 4 ps3 used tyre with 70% thread left and went for a test drive with me.

There was improvement although it's used tyre, but it's not a Super Huge one from what I expected. He kinda explained to me in detailed that there is always certain noise level when come to R17 45/40 series tyre, it is just how bad or worse and how well you can take it as time goes(depends on each person preference). From there I realized I actually magnified this issue a lil too much within myself. True enough, after 2 weeks driving the car my attention over road noise issue actually got distracted by every other bits of the car. The smoothness, handling, keyless, styling etc... Just got to say I love driving it.

Performance wise of MC5, I would say its fair though. Only one thing need to pay attention, while taking a big curvy corner with the speed of 110-120. When the road is a little uneven, the tyre seems can't get enough traction and under steered could happen then you will find the car is slightly sliding towards your next lane. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking about those smooth curvy corners on bigger road or fly-over. Not sharp corners with the speed of 110, those sharp corners only Hamilton can do it with that speed. Way too dangerous to do that though.

Overall conclusion, it's not really that bad with the MC5 but definitely room of improvement is there. If budget is with you and having a thought of changing, Why not? There are many other cool features could easily drive your attention away, that's why we are landed here with our M3...

Is the m3 sedan facelift on the road already? Booked mine a few weeks ago but still no news. I have seen the hb facelift but never seen the sedan.

Hi guys... SA told me that all M3 will be sent to KL for Tribos coating before they are distributed to all states including northern states. Is this true? I thought the coating is done at factory. I have been waiting for my M3 for quite a while.
