Do you guys have any idea when Mazda 3 in Malaysia will have the skyactiv technology?

What the! It's already in other countries and it's taking them so long to bring it to Malaysia? I actually have plans of getting a Mazda 3. Should I get it now, or is it worth the wait?

Yes, there will be. I was informed by Bermaz customer service executive when I emailed them. He said they will introduced new Mazda 3 facelift by middle of this year but still without Skyactiv

I guess so...should be around that timeframe or slightly later..but when I try to ask more details on the new facelift, the Bermaz staff says they cant disclose any further info on it...alot of thing i tried asking but all still confidential..

Greeting from Bermaz Motor and thank you for your email.

We are sorry to inform you that Bermaz Motor trading is unable to disclose on when other models will be equipped with Mazda Skyactiv technology.

However, we are also pleased to inform you that Bermaz Motor Trading will be launching New Mazda 3 facelift by middle of 2012. Regretfully this model will not be inclusive with Skyactive engine . The Skyactive engine will only be available for CX5 model which we will be launching by June 2012 in Malaysia. We are looking forward for you to be our valued customer and it will be our privilege to serve you in the future.

After the reply above, I replied them to ask for further info and this is what they replied:

Greeting from Bermaz Motor and thank you for your email.

We are glad to inform that Mazda 2 and Mazda 3 have already been equipped with Skyactive Engine in Japan.

However Bermaz is still looking into the potentiality of taking this model to Malaysia Market and we are still unable to give you the approximate time on the arrival of these model. We are still unable to disclose on Mazda 3 Facelift information to public yet until further notice .

We are still unable to give the feedback on the other question as this is still under the discussion of the management and will not be available to public until further notice.

We will definitely keep you in the loop for further info on this matter. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence in us. Counting you among our customers is something for which we are especially grateful.

Actually I emailed them through Mazda website: www.mazda.com.my and one of the customer service staff replied me. You can just directly email them there and I believe someone will attend to you.

Just got my ride yday (1.6 Sedan Aluminium Metallic)

Apart from a couple of small exterior issues which can be fixed, everything else is great. The more I drive, the more I'm loving it. So far did not face any of the common problems stated in first page (knock knock sound, loud tyre noise, steering sound etc etc) and hope it stays that way

Sigghhhh...while I was driving my M3 juz now, suddenly I heard a loud sound and follow by some screeching sound while the car is moving. Then, I quickly stop by the side and see that there's a like a metal rod (dunno the length measurements, around the length from our wrist to elbow, diameter roughly the size of our thumb) piercing thru my side skirting (driver side)...i dunno where it came from and it needed some pulling to get the metal rod out..now my side skirting has a hole underneath the car...now i'm just worried is there any possiblities that this metal rod come from my car or juz lying on the road..if lying on the road, i juz cant imagine how can it pierce thru my side skirting underneath the car (it's not 90 deg pierce thru roughly diagonal of about 60 deg)...and im worried that there's more dmg to it then juz a hole underneath..anyone with good experiences with cars can advice on this?

I plan to take my car to Mazda SC to assess the dmg...maybe considering replacing the side skirting..anyone has any idea how much one side of the side skirting cost? Do u guys know anyway that I can claim it under warranty? Really frustrated and sad...my M3 is only 2 months+ old..very unlucky..thanks in advance for any advice...
