wa good mileage there bro @ 800km...i did 80% highway and 20% city the most i can go is only about 530km on a 2.0 cruising at 110 - 140km/h...but one thing i find is that if we do constant 90km/h our fuel consumption is only about 6.5l/100km...pretty good i would say for a 2.0

further info. base on my personal experience.

below 110km/h - fuel saving
above 110km/h - fuel starts burning more;
above 160km/h - best I could get was approx. 480 to 500km.

mazda cx5 saves fuel like mad and also gives u big horses when u want to use it

mazda2 with new skyactiv in japan already made a major impact in fuel save

@ariesto
true but need to convince some certain auntie and uncle that toyota and honda isn't the only selling car makes in malaysia..
though their children want a new different car other than toyota and honda, their parents aren't that supporting..

so should wait for Sky-Active Mazda 3 to arrive - haiya!

anyway, do u all know those lines behind the rear windscreen are a set of demister and the other set serves as radio antenna (upper part of windscreen)

wondering to tint the car cos might damage these lines in near future.

if they have "really" done mazda cars before..then it should be okay..but remember to see their workmanship... ur door panels..this and that..the way they took it apart and fix it back..screws and so on.. some would say they got do before but actually they did not.. if sales executive did not recommend any or if u urself want to send it to the one u want, do take care..

why people so worry about FC if they wanna have fun?

you pay extra money for more gadgets and Horse power
so you need to pay extra money if you want extra speed

Yes you can say it as a worry but it can be a logging for personal reference too.

The mileage can mean a lot other than money, it can be something wrong to the engine, tires, gearbox or etc.
Most people shall understand, each car, they has their own character, so it's not a bad thing to know your car more.

Personally, I always red the total mileage I had made per tank before I pump, then reset it after finish re-fueling.
Lets say if the mileage suddenly gone too less per tank,
at least I have a clue that something shouldn't be right anymore to the vehicle hence I'll stop zoom zoom before sending it for inspection.

I'm not a pro, a little aim of mine: prevent earlier is always better than sorry later.

Agree with you

As what i concern how much i paid for full tank and how many place i go .. for sure your 800km are horrible and was a great number for me that can consider as lazy to check how many FC per 100km .. from what my GF told me cause she is the one drive it to work daily and i using her myvi.. she said fuel tank enough for her 2 weeks route to work i think around 20km per day.. that is all i know cause when i get into my car i will try to zoom zoom it .. even my gf beside nagging i just giving excuse " i just test my car only, nothing much "

There are some people trying to tell me not to buy Mazda..
reason 1 = resale value ( i told them if i worry too much of the resale value i will stuck in the boring T cabin forever)
reason 2 = FC ( new engine new technology so it wont be bad )

You know most of the ipoh very " uncle " pattern one.. scared this and that end of the day still the same brand same cabin same feel.. overpriced too

no offence but only nissan gtr, nissan silvia, nissan FAIRLADY (my dream car) attracts me...those normal cars are a no no for me lol...

anyway they are loaded =P
i don't want to argue with uncle uncle all..
they retire already and want to relax with less worries
probably don't want to zoom zoom here and there tongue.gif

Wow!What a nice BF/husband letting his lady to enjoy the car and himself taking the myvi, SALUTE! biggrin.gif
Your case is different, I'll do the same if I were you too.

Anyhow, Mazda has innovate so much from the time being, they are improving, I personally thought so,
starting from the look they convince you then to the performance.
What lacking behind now is the after sales behavior, if still going on like usual now, all the good things may draw back one day.

Yea, T & H, just too bored to look at or seat in, it's just a car.
As you said unless they are turbos tongue.gif but I think the internal design can still be better.

I'm beginning to question our local ckd QC. I dunno if its related or not. When I got the car, the inside trim panel was not properly clip in. The rubber at the side of the door was jutting out. I had to push it back in to clip it back. Same goes with the silver panel on the door. Was not properly clipped in. The 2 rubber lining on the roof of the car is loose. When I press on it, it actually moves.. Like not properly sealed or stick on. The black lining on top of the windscreen got abit of the car paint smeared over. Same goes with back.

And recently went over puddle of water and what seems to be the mud guard came off dragging on the floor. When checked, 2 clips broke off and the pressure of the puddle of wAter pushed it backwards.

I have no complain on the driving pleasure. It felt really good. The pick up and acceleration. Really nice to drive. But little little things like this I've spotted so far really not satisfactory. I've yet to experience any rattling sound but so far these are the problems I've spotted.

Any of the cbu or ckd owners notice these little defects?
