Browsing on iPad so quite difficult to find the thread

My M3 2.0 reached almost 50K. Sadly front tyre thread is wearing off. Went for bal n alignment found out one of the front tyre pecah at the side... Tyre man advise I need to change new tyre.. Can confirm this?

Anyone go for stock tyre? How much?
My tyre man recommended me Toyo T1R which is slightly cheaper than stock model. Thread size n thickness is same 205/50/17
Has anyone tried this model? Is it good??

With the original profile, I saw good reviews regards the Conti CSC5 or Michelin PS3.
Other profile you can consider Goodyear Asy2.
All the above mentioned are top range tires, shouldn't be putting you down.

About the T1R, I do heard of it, it's good in the wet but not really in dry.

Couple of weeks ago, my M3 engine started to get a bit noisier. Opened up the hood to see where was the noise from.
Suspected that thin tube/pipe running across the left of the engine cover (not so engine savvy so i don't really know what it is) was rattling and causing all the noise. Reported to SC during my 1k service in Glenmarie, they said common for the noise level and for the tube to rattle that way. What you guys think?

The engine is getting noisier. But rest assured i am happy with everything else - performance, pickup, COMFORT. Mine is 1.6 CKD.

I'm beginning to question our local ckd QC. I dunno if its related or not. When I got the car, the inside trim panel was not properly clip in. The rubber at the side of the door was jutting out. I had to push it back in to clip it back. Same goes with the silver panel on the door. Was not properly clipped in. The 2 rubber lining on the roof of the car is loose. When I press on it, it actually moves.. Like not properly sealed or stick on. The black lining on top of the windscreen got abit of the car paint smeared over. Same goes with back.

And recently went over puddle of water and what seems to be the mud guard came off dragging on the floor. When checked, 2 clips broke off and the pressure of the puddle of wAter pushed it backwards.

I have no complain on the driving pleasure. It felt really good. The pick up and acceleration. Really nice to drive. But little little things like this I've spotted so far really not satisfactory. I've yet to experience any rattling sound but so far these are the problems I've spotted.

Any of the cbu or ckd owners notice these little defects?

So far so good my CBU,why not u o back to SC ask them to replace and check again your problem

mine is cbu and so far has no problem with all the things u mentioned above..
seem that ckd could have the QC problem and wonder if bermaz assign a qualified and well-trained personnel for that qc or just close one eye for the ckd production.. hmm.gif

Yikes, this is the second time in this forum someone reported going over a puddle of water and something bent or fell off. How fast were you going when you run through d water puddle?

They checked and at first.. They say "Ada kesan langgar" so that must be the problem. I went to see the kesan langgar she pointed to me was on the bottom left bumper where there was tiny scratches due to high bumps. The thing is... The plastic cover that came out was on the right. The area around it was clean and no dent at all.

They say it is not covered under warranty. And tried to point the fault at me. So I told them to check and analyse how it breaks off.

They called the manager or supervisor to check and straight away they agreed to replace a new one and smiled at me afterwards. They have to order in from Japan which could take up to a month. It cost nearly rm300 to replace the whole left panel.

They wired the plastic or stick it back up for the moment and I have to drive a month with this condition. They say it is okay to drive. I go outstation a lot and hhighway speed is a norm. Will it affect any air flow?

i just realized this today. The display panel (the rectangular one, orange coloured) on my car only appears for FM/CD/AUX and nothing more. I took a closer look at the panel and it was designed to show info on the air conditioning and a couple of other stuffs.

Are yours displaying all these? Mine only displays the CD/Radio.

Yup, 1.6 CKD. make sense as well, cos 2.0 has the dual zone air cond. Any 1.6'ers can confirm yours doesn't have the air cond temp display?

May I ask.. Everytime you press on acceleration from first gear, does it take longer for the gear to change to second gear? Usually it make the revving sound longer than usual before changing to second gear. Is it normal for Mazda cars?
