superatom kernel v1.1 work well on your phone? my one that day suddenly battery drain alot...flashed back to myGKernel v1.1.1

battery drain quite fast..is myGkernel is better??

How much do you guys overclock or underclock after rooting the kernel?

this happened to me as well, a full charge lasts less than a day even with wifi off and all bloatware frozen, i had to go back to the version 1.1, i don't know if the culprit is the kernel or some strange app!

Look at post #817, page 41 if u interested in battery life.
I got good battery life even with stock rom+doomlord root using that stuff.

thx but i already did that, the fact is that the battery consumption per hour was abnormally high, i don't know why, in less than 8 hours my battery was completely drained after a full charge!!!

i was using supermatos kernel v1.2 with smartass governor btw!

when situation like this happens, go check in BBS, whats the app or activity thats sucking the juice out of ur phone, before u change kernels or charge the phone.

Currently I am using Kernel 1.2 with Super ROm 1.0, previously when I used 1.1+1.0, the battery life was good. Now is fair.

that's the mysterious part, i did check BBS and all was normal, almost no wakelocks, no wifi, no extra apps draining battery, just the regular apps : display, android system and the sleep ones!

my case is different... previously was using superatom kernel v1.1, battery life was good. until that day, suddenly battery drain a lot even most of the time the phone in idle, didnt install any new apps or what, so now back to myGKernel v1.1.1

is it superom by juffo good in battery life n performance? anybody tried it? any bugs with ics theme? by da way ICS for Nexus S GSM/UMTS already rolling out!!!!. already tried it in my nexus and feel like new phone . cant wait it come to our SGS2. wohooo

SuperROM is not by juffo, its by superatmos. juffo ROM is by Homam Ageel (aka juffo).

I'm still using SuperROM v1.0 with superatmos kernel v1.1. All is good, so no plans to change.

oppss..sory,my mistake. some people say batery really good with dis rom so it make me wanna try it. really smooth as butter? just hope no bug in dis rom
i already tried superatmos kernel 1.0 b4 this n suddenly my battery drains alot. my batt still got 50% then i left my phone besides me n doing my job for 10 minutes then i take back my phone n it feels hot n batt got only 15%?? dang! flash back stock kernel n scared to try custom kernel again

Guys, the best combi I have had so far is Superkernel 1.1 + SuperRom 1.0 + ICS theme for battery life and overall looks of the phone.

If ur phone suddenly has one time issue with battery drain and cannot pin point anything, continue using and see if it keep occuring. Normally I wouldnt panic and change ROM/Kernel so fast. Give it a try for a few more days.

Some places people daya SGS2 got some battery bug ( I dont know how far this is true). So far my experience, is one time I had that enormous battery drain thing happen to me.I believe after I used my car charger ( non official Samsung ) and the phone kept switching MTP on off .. and phone heat up bad.. even hot after unplug. Face fast drain... pull battery out and put back in, and use standard charger and after that no more problem. Cant recall which kernel+ ROM that time.

So if its a one off incident of drain u facing, just forget about it and move on and enjoy the available custom ROMs.

how the battery life?

Hmmmmm many people have report battery life is good . You can even squeeze more juice by using BBS, JD, setcpu, autostarts and titanium backup to freeze bloat. ref post #817, page 41.

But to be honest, since no two people use the phone the same way, the only way for you to know is to try it out. On paper yes, this is best, but you'd only be satisfied if u try yourself.

If my opinion matters to some, I will say I agree with premk71 that the SuperROM v1.0 + superatmos kernel v1.1 combo is the best we've found so far. But do bear in mind, different ppl different definition of "good" battery life.

If you think battery life really matter and stock is better, pls stick with stock.

I have battery packs ready in case of emergency. And I bring spare chargers everywhere I go.

FYI, the rooting techniques shown in the first page won't work for the latest stock android ver 2.3.6. It won't work not just on S2 only, but same as other phone.

In XDA forum, there has updated the method known as memory crash method. Using this method, at last, I managed to root my phone.. Here's the xda forum link for the memory crash method

This method works fine on my SGS2, Android ver 2.3.6, DZKJ2. Now, it's time for me to look for more apps..

May i know the 1st method on 1st page for rooting works well for and ver 2.3.4 ? and anyone used this method and sucessfully rooted the phone ? thanks for replies
