FYI, the rooting techniques shown in the first page won't work for the latest stock android ver 2.3.6. It won't work not just on S2 only, but same as other phone.

In XDA forum, there has updated the method known as memory crash method. Using this method, at last, I managed to root my phone.. Here's the xda forum link for the memory crash method

This method works fine on my SGS2, Android ver 2.3.6, DZKJ2. Now, it's time for me to look for more apps..

May i know the 1st method on 1st page for rooting works well for and ver 2.3.4 ? and anyone used this method and sucessfully rooted the phone ? thanks for replies

It should work for any ver less than 2.3.5.  And I believe, this method is safe and won't brick any phone. If it fail, it simply fail and won't not do any changes to the phone..

Which version? Drain faster than what?

If superatmos kernel v1.2 compare to v1.1, yes, it drains faster as it main focus is to balance battery life + performance.

The battery saving combo would be:

How long it takes for your GPS to lock? It seems to take a long time from a cold start.

got some problem here..
1. last 3 day my phone battery sudden finish when i was asleep.. 55% drain in 6hr.. i check nothing running before i sleep.. sleep 1+ got 55% wake up 7+am phone cant turn on and no display.. go charge only can cz battery kong

2. last 2 day my phone auto off, when i turn it on back my apps come out from its folder... (i not sure what happen what i did is i lend to my fren play angry bird.. den he return me.. i close angry bird n lock screen.. go back 5 minute.. screen turned off)

3. today jz now morning i want sms my fren.. i typing half then the screen auto turned off.. i thought what happen.. want open back the screen cause its turned off whole phone.. (press power to turn it on with S2 boot screen)
