QUOTE(zeese @ Dec 19 2011, 05:05 PM) It should work for any ver less than 2.3.5. And I believe, this method is safe and won't brick any phone. If it fail, it simply fail and won't not do any changes to the phone.. Thanks and i will carry on wif this method ... only need to DL the rooting toolkit right ? |

if it was not found from phone, then of course u need to update it from Kies or flashing using Odin. preferably using Odin as u will get a copy of the rom itself. see my guide in my signature for instruction on how to update. for downloading latest firmware, get checkfus downloader (google it plz). btw DZKJ2 only so far can be rooted with doomlord zergrush method. latest DZKL3 and maybe other need to be rooted using Odin with rooted kernel just read my guide first and google around, if not understand, feel free to ask My phone detect another firmware update but im worrying it is actually the same .. which is 2.3.5 .. is it possible for it to update to 2.3.5 from 2.3.4 b4 to 2.3.6 ? thanks for fast reply Added on January 31, 2012, 11:55 amAnd my pc cant even detect the phone via USB .. the phone stated there is MTP connection and is charging ... but no idea why the pc cant locate it... QUOTE(creezalird @ Jan 31 2012, 12:41 PM) done this ? Ya done and the phone can charge from pc but it still cant detect ... notification bar show MTP connection and i can even heard the "ding" sound from pc ... no idea what is actually happening ...Tick USB debugging (settings->Applications->Development), if unticked before Tick Unknown sources (settings->Applications) Using windows task manager, "end task" ADB.exe and all KIES related software if running if yes, try changing another usb port and reinstall Kies or repair Kies driver from inside Kies |

QUOTE(creezalird @ Jan 31 2012, 01:59 PM) nope, ktool only for kernel flashing. SuperRomv2.0 with ICS themed ? If yes then i will flash to it .. if not i will stay on stock rom. if u are using doomlord method, u are rooted but without CWM to get CWM flash any rooted kernel using ktool CWM can be used to flash custom rom Added on January 31, 2012, 2:01 pm as u are using custom rom, it is advised to start from zero again. which means, flash latest stock rom with odin. after that flash rooted kernel. this is the only method to root so far for KL3 as doomlord method is not working anymore for this version Custom rom nicer compare to stock one > ? is it okay for me to stay on it ? |

QUOTE(creezalird @ Feb 5 2012, 06:24 PM) nope.cause the kernel name normally do not contain the name of the rom. what u see KJ2 is the rom name. not kernel. and that is normal considering u are running KJ2 rom with KL3 kernel Oh I see, so that i cant flash any ROM that require or base on KJ2 right ? How if i change to superatmos v2.0?Added on February 5, 2012, 6:25 pm actually u can just google around for the list. many forum already discussed about this. some of them are quite detail with explaination for every APK |
