Just go thru the guides, take your time to understand and you are welcome to ask if unclear. You will find learning this way more efficient than we summarise for you. =) otherwise, it is better to stay stock

I am sticking to GB earlier cos ICS based on 3.12 isn't stable. Got to jump onto latest bandwagon ma,hehe

Maybe you can consider syncing your contact with google account, save all the hassle after flashing new rom.

For sound set error, check few post earlier, I shared the temporary solution there with guides and the file as well

Lol, I'm using swiftkeyX, the prediction on that thing is amazing, hence missing letters on that small keyboard is not an issue!, hahaha...although only issue I have with it is the fact that it doesn't have Chinese language, ugh.

that's the issue for mandarin input. i even ported htc ime while i was on trial for virtuous aosp ics rom..

Hi, I just got my first android phone. It is sensation XE

its been a couple of weeks, and I see that many android users can have all those "personal" touch to their phones.

I believe to have this you have to "root" your phone first?

may i know from the sifus here is root = S-OFF ??

u need to s-off ur phone in order to install recovery which let u to flash custom rom

Oh, also I am downloading some program from the Revolutionary website stated on the guide at the beginning. And it asked me to fill some details for the beta key, my question is : under "my device" do I state my "Sensation XE" as "Sensation" ? since I don't see any "Sensation XE" option..

also, what is "Hboot" ? and how to check which one is mine?

I am stuck on step 2, where it asks me to install RECOVERY it says to Copy the PG58IMG file into the Root folder of your SD card (The main Folder of your Memory Card) << the problem here is, which folder is the main folder of my memory card? or is just paste it in the main folder of my SD Card?

also, it ask me to Turn off your phone FUlly and reboot into the Bootloader/HBOOT screen (see post above on how to get to hboot screen) <<< my phone has been successfully S-OFF, but I can't see or don't know how to reboot it to get into the HBOOT screen.

can anyone help me please?

Just send the file to your sd card, no need to be in folder or anything, doublecheck md5 checksum after sending the file and make sure they match.

to get into hboot, shut off phone, remove battery, reinsert battery, then press volume down + power button and it should go into hboot.

can anyone open the SIS website product warranty registration..
i cant open it and i want to register for quite awhile now

Try the install again.

Just install Titanium Backup after that and if it launches without giving you a warning you're rooted.

ehhh any ppl here problem with the ringtone?
Mine will automatic changed to another song or ringtone once i restart my phone.... it also happens to all my notification sound too.
