So normally how you transfer data such as song and video to your phone? The traditional way is to put the memory card into card reader. But since it is not hot-swappable, it will be a nuisance. If you say using USB cable directly plug into PC, then when file is being transferred, is the phone operate-able?
Plug in using USB to transfer files. Phone is still operatable. Except for files/apps you put in sd.

But I see some people is talking about flashing the baseband. What is it for?
To try different modem lo. Some got better signal with this one, or better data stability with that one or better batterry life with another one.....

in that case, try wipe data for flash player and adobe air, or go market see got any new updates if still cannot try reinstall it baseband = modem, manages normal calls, 2g 3g hsdpa but not wifi, nothing much of concern, most basebands are almost the same, advised to update to latest version tho.

yes the phone is operatable, can still make calls and all, the basic functions and most of the apps except those that you moved to sd card. I believe there's a list of guides on ways to transfer files from pc to SGS2 and SGS2 to SGS2 in the first page. control+f, type transfer
as for baseband, there's no proven facts one is better than the other, mostly placebo effects. I did a research and tested 8 baseband versions, conclusion? signal received are slightly different but not huge difference, so advisable to update to latest baseband that's all.

Baseband is your modem which controls your phone and wireless.
Added on October 14, 2011, 11:00 am Try running it without UV first. Yes you cannot use tegrak. Use setcpu. The GPU scripts are in the first post. The only way to control gpu on siyah is through scripts. There is no app.
All right, thanks, going to flash it through Odin. SO just flash and don't bother changing any voltage and clock settings just to see how it runs?

Yeah don't bother with UV first. Try out the different governors and clock settings. If you want to try UV, don't set it at boot until your sure it will run fine on your device.

Just flashed through Odin. Got the yellow triangle, so flash stock kernel again?
Hmmm i noticed the phone gets hot more easily when using Xscope compared to Opera.
Are you using Opera Mini?
IINM, Opera Mini does most rendering/processing on Opera's server before the finished page is sent to the browser on the phone. This cuts down on processing and bandwidth requirements. Most other browsers, like Dolphin and Opera Mobile do all the rendering/processing on the browser itself.
This might explain the difference. Of course different browsers could have different levels of efficiency as well.

nope im using mobile.. but Xscope is seriously fast.. especially loading the manga pages..
hmm siyah 2.0 b6 seems to kill off my lovely LBE Privacy Guard, ohwell back to 1.8, cant live without LBE, it gives me the feeling of total control over mai phone.
it need google to process though, so data is inevitable.
