You need to be connected with 3g on. It is ok if you have a subscribed unlimited data plan

Try removing root first. That day i wanted to update my rooted ace. Kies also cannot detect it. Once i remove root it detect immediately. Maybe new kies version will not detected rooted device.

This is getting weird...Anyway, try to do it on a table. Pets out! Towel out! Try to do it naked if possible (there's a forummer here did that!) If that's impossible, do it half naked. The process is crazy if you want to get it done as near perfect as possible. Don't end up like me...
