Wanted to ask, on the Touch x-power + ROM KI8, the kernel is the same as the default Samsung one is it? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...&postcount=1472I would like to know if I can run my Tegrak straight over the default kernel in the ROM? Does it support SetCPU? If I replace with the Siyah Kernel, i can immediately install SetCPU and overclock and undervolt right? Thanks to whoever replies

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Oct 12 2011, 11:12 AM) IINM, Touch ROM using Siyah Kernel and compatible with SetCPU. Allright, Thanks. What exactly does IINM stand for? Added on October 12, 2011, 12:46 pmSo tempted to switch over to the KI8 Touch ROM, but lazy because it is still android 2.3.5, same as my stock KI3 now... QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Oct 12 2011, 02:13 PM) how's ur casemate tough? my pop case's rubber start to wear off a little bit d Mine has been perfect. Love the amount of grip and how solid the phone feels. The textured back doesn't show a single fingerprint. And the double layer protection feels so sweet. It can even be used without the hard shell, just use the soft rubber. Highly recommend it.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 13 2011, 10:29 AM) Anybody has ANY idea what this port does? @prescott: yeah the pink spot still there. It's not as serious as you may think though. Blergh, people make so much fuss over the pink spot, the yellow display and the heat - the iPhone 4 has similar problems also people just stay quiet (green spot in cam, yellow display, overheating)? Maybe Android users are slightly more... uhm... attentive lol. To connect an external antenna. My SE P990i also had it, at a rubber flap on the back near the camera http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_p990-pictures-1318.php

QUOTE(plain_white @ Oct 13 2011, 12:15 PM) I was having the same problem too. I bought my G set with 2.3.4 before update it to 2.3.5. I've tried many ways even reinstall the whole kies. But still can't connect my phone to my laptop. Have you tried restarting both the phone and the laptop? Also, once a USB cable is plugged in, there is a notofication, you must click it and select connect to USB. Mine also the same thing. Plug in and it won't do anything, must select connect to USB under the notification once the cable is plugged in.

To those who want to send files easily between the phone and the PC, use SwiFTP. It is in the first page. Can make the phone appear as a network location under my computer and can browse and copy and paste just like a thumbdrive. Works flawlessly and is damn good

I am looking at this thread @ XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255790Can someone tell me from experience which one supports Tegrak or SetCPU? I see most of them talk about SetCPU, but only lulz kernel about Tegrak, and that kernel is not KI3 Under Siyah v2 :GPU clock and voltage control interface (thanks to netarchy) What is meant by control interface? It comes with a program like Tegrak? Really tempted to flash a kernel now. Which version of Siyah would you people recommend or are there any other kernels which give better battery life? If I do not like the kernel, I can just flash back my stock insecure kernel to get back my stock kernel with root right? Thanks to whoever replies

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 14 2011, 10:29 AM) I think only lulz kernel is compatible with Tegrak App. Others you can use setcpu. Siyah GPU control interface is through scripts. There is no app for it. Yes you can just flash back your stock kernel if you do not like it. I notice in your sig you are using Siyah 1.8. Once I flash, it applies some UV that causes some phones to crash right? So I can overcome it by using SetCPU? I understand that I cannot use Tegrak to control the CPU, But Can I still Control the GPU? I am still looking for a way to control my GPU speeds but seems like cannot because only Tegrak can

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 14 2011, 10:59 AM) Baseband is your modem which controls your phone and wireless. Added on October 14, 2011, 11:00 amTry running it without UV first. Yes you cannot use tegrak. Use setcpu. The GPU scripts are in the first post. The only way to control gpu on siyah is through scripts. There is no app. All right, thanks, going to flash it through Odin. SO just flash and don't bother changing any voltage and clock settings just to see how it runs?

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 14 2011, 11:11 AM) Yeah don't bother with UV first. Try out the different governors and clock settings. If you want to try UV, don't set it at boot until your sure it will run fine on your device. Just flashed through Odin. Got the yellow triangle, so flash stock kernel again?

QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Oct 14 2011, 11:22 AM) simpler way is use jig or use cwm to flash. then wont have the triangle anymore. So flash the kernel again through CWM? is it ok to flash the same thing twice?
