Because some saying that once in a while we need to exercise the battery in order to keep it healthy But if you have ACPP then you have no worry at all |

hi guys, been reading first 10 pages of this thread. will continue reading later tonight.
question, i plan to get a mba 13" possibly next friday. is it wise to get it now or should i wait for a new version? there's been rumor/news of a new version in early 2012. what you guys think? http://9to5mac.com/2011/11/28/digitimes-ma...h-model-coming/ not really in hurry, just that thinking to get one since i wanted a personal laptop to do personal stuffs like downloading stuffs, watching movie, surfing and playing some rounds of dota. would want to play diablo 3 with it too once it's out for sale. now just thinking if there would be a new mba, would it come with usb3.0 coz now thunderbolt external hdd are not that universal plug and play and they are really expensive. |

hmmm, will it really be early 2012? or mid 2012? cause the current gen MBA was released in mid-2011, so I would suppose it would make sense to release the next gen in mid-2012, right? any thoughts?

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Nov 29 2011, 04:29 PM) that 'early' 2012 will be earliest april, according to intel wonder how much different it can get. at most the ivy bridge cpu and usb3.0. shouldn't be more significant than that right?not really sure about USB thunderbolt also by intel right? coz if not mistaken when mba was refreshed this year, i believe usb 3.0 was already in products in market, so just wondering why apple didnt put into mba. maybe a question of their positioning strategy. but you're right about April latest news just from last midnight http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ivy-bridg...pecs,14083.html QUOTE(shockk @ Nov 29 2011, 04:32 PM) hmmm, will it really be early 2012? or mid 2012? cause the current gen MBA was released in mid-2011, so I would suppose it would make sense to release the next gen in mid-2012, right? any thoughts? do u think i should just proceed to get current mba?Added on November 29, 2011, 4:50 pmowh, the ivy bridge processor also has Intel HD 4000 GPU, being 20-60% faster than current HD 3000 with DX11 support. i suppose it "supports" it but may not render it well http://lenzfire.com/2011/11/22nm-intel-ivy...revealed-50677/ This post has been edited by dARKaNGEl: Nov 29 2011, 04:50 PM |

MBA doesnt follow a 1-year cycle. but i think apple would upgrade iMac or MBP 1st with ivy bridge...MBA n mac mini later on
if im not mistaken, those having usb3.0 right now need to rely on 3rd party controllers (i think lah) since intel havent support it yet. what's supposed to be significant for ivy bridge is the integrated graphics and low power consumption. see lah how later |
