Hi guys , i been using laptop with so many year , dunno why feel that it getting slow & slow by day , never have such problem with desktop but facing with laptop , like after a year using , the processor macam drop become pentium 2 only =.=" , not as smooth as the first day purchase this laptop

so my question , will macbook pro facing this problem? Because i wish it can last for maybe 2~3 year? Upgrading every year will damage my pocket =( Or funding for an iMac will be a good choice? hehe

you could be right about the usb 3.0 part

"USB 3.0 will also be included in PCs based on Ivy Bridge, said Kirk Skaugen, vice president and general manager for Intel's Data Center Group, during a keynote Wednesday at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing"

maybe ur heatsink too dusty? faulty hard drive? or just too many useless crap in ur OS? have u tried reformatting ur PC?

imac and macbookpro... uh one is desktop one is laptop, really cannot say which one is a better choice haha. depends on ur needs bro smile.gif but yes i find macs more stable. my MBP is 3 years now still running great. but then the 3 year old desktop im typing on right now is running great as well tongue.gif

Not sure to get the pro or air. I tink pro is more valueable in the long run. might be getting pro. will decide again during the next refresh.

bro that really depends on alot of things. like how you use your laptop and manage your files. i can say that mac os does manage files better than other OS does. has been using my mbp for 3years now without reformatting. no such 'slowing down'. as least not significant enough for me to feel it. just manage your files properly then i guess everything shudnt be that bad.

For me, I will go for iMac if you intend to edit the pictures at home.

If mostly work on the go, MBP would be a better choice.

Do consider MBA cause lighter than MBP so it won't add much to the weight.

i got the mba for myself bcos i travel often. and never looked back. it serves for almost all my needs. in your case, if you are opting for the mbp just to bring it to your girlfriend's place, den i think the better option would be to get the iMac (based on how often would you need to do that).

but if you are unsure, just get the mbp + external display. cos you might never know when you are to bring the laptop out. smile.gif
