I kinda regret upgrade my MBP to 8GB ram..

read the reply right after. it's due to the fact that 8gb's overkill for his requirements

it means that 8gb is too much for how he normally uses his mac up to a point that he can't really see/feel the difference

My advice is do what ever that you need to do on MBP..
Monitor the RAM usage.. If always reach the max then you should got for upgrade

btw, yesterday I did my sound design assignment it reached 5.5GB of usage 

When I upgrade 3-4 months ago is RM 250.
I'm using kingston 4GB 1333Mhz DDR3x2
1. is the same.
2. Er.. should be same?
3. There 2 slots in MBP. Yup you need take out the 2x2GB RAM
As I know, upgrading RAM and hard disk won't void the warranty.

u can get beter deal here LYN@Garage Sale..no need wait 3 days...price much lower than education price..just my advise pls search around first to get better deal..:-)

my opinion only..
lion not suitable much in old previous macbook with core 2 duo..
almost core duo and core 2 duo model suit nicely with snow leopard without much problem..no lagging so whatever..

if u using core i5 minimum..yes u thnik lion going smooth..but in core 2 duo proc..its not like that..u will see abit laggish somewhere..
especially on macbook white with ddr2 ram...:-)

but this my opinion only..mybe not work to others..

I was expecting my macbook pro to be arriving at my house today, but according to shipment tracker, it got delayed for clearance. ugh. Anybody experiencing this? Here's my shipment tracker.

my 2011 mbp's box was actually damaged badly (outer) and it looked like water damage. the actual mbp's box was dented like it got into a fight with a concrete floor and lost. dhl repacked the outer brown box and claims there were no damage.

filed a complaint, apple reps told me dhl admits to their mistake and will take steps to prevent it in the future. yeah, really helpful to those that were actually effected by it

don't worry, its because of customs delay.
DHL is the best courier service out there
