That's unusual, the main positive point in reviews I read worldwide is how fast the MacAir is. And mine is blazing fast, though maybe your definition of fast is different than mine.

Call the Apple helpdesk, believe me they are extremely friendly. Never experienced any of your problems myself, but read about similar problems alot.
Hopefully Apple can sort you out.

QUOTE(bpay14 @ Nov 4 2011, 11:11 AM) the DHL tracking page nvr update anything.. the latest one still Arrived at Sort Facility SINGAPORE - SINGAPORE... Check your shipment directly from the Apple Store, since it will directly link it to DHL's corporates tracking site. Its more complete than DHL's normal tracking directory.

I think if you narrow down to either a 13" MBA or 13" MBP, for me better go for the air. The difference in speed between the Air and the Pro is huuuuge. I tested my friend's Pro and it is noticeably slower in loading applications. The SSD in the Air really makes a difference and for your day to day need, the Air is simply the better choice.
Go to any Mac store and try opening up iTunes, on the Air it will load up instantly whereas the Pro took a good while to load.

The 13' inch screen feels huge. Don't be fooled when you are trying it at the store. Next to the 15" Pro, I thought 13" was not enough as well. But boy I was wrong, 13" is perfect for my needs. Don't think its a hindrance at all when I'm watching movies.
Its like going to a TV shop and thinking how small a 32" TV is compared to a 50" one. Only when you bring it home will you realize that both are big in their own right.

So far? I say this all the time, best 4k ever spent!
-I probably spend about 1/2 a day gaming using PCSX2 (its a PS2 emulator) and on full charge I can get about 2.30 hours of battery life.
-When I'm playing games, or sometimes when watching HD movie, the fan will start to spin. This usually occurs 15-20 minutes when I start booting up my game, and rarely happens when I'm watching movies. Got to admit its quite loud, scared me to game for a week. But after reading online its nothing to be afraid of. Some people play COD and Starcraft 2 for 4 hours and no problem at all with their Air. (though the fan is quite loud, like tablefan speed no.3 loud.)
-However, if you are the type that likes to surf while the laptop is on your lap, it can get quite warm since the body is all aluminium, but the dissipates quite quickly too when you close it to sleep.
-I rarely shut down my laptop, always put it to sleep when not in use, and I advise you to do that also. Because believe it or not, sleeping is better than shutting down the laptop fully. The power consumption when putting it to sleep is very very very low.

I don't know man, both model have the exact spec and RAM, just different storage space. But I say if you have the money to get a higher storage than go for it. I think that it will have a higher resell value down the line but don't quote me on that.
But if I'm in your shoe, I'll get the 128GB model and just buy a 3 year AppleCare Plan to go with it. Seems like a better buy in the long run.

Both 13" model have the same spec, though you can custom order the 256GB one to Intel Core i7.
-Regarding your external. Yes you can, but make sure to reformat your external to HFS+ (Windows uses NTFS). If your existing external is in NTFS, Mac can still detect and read your external but you cannot edit it (meaning you cannot delete the files in it).

Can't give a concrete comment on that sorry, but from what I've read, there's no monumental jump from it. I really love this Mac Air review and I think you should read it http://www.theverge.com/products/macbook-a...ch-mid-2011/515

-Melvin, of course I watch movies on my laptop. I open up four 720p movies at the same time via MPX and you know what? The Air can handle it without problem.
-For me a 13" screen fits my need. Don't know about you but never once do I feel like I need a bigger screen when I use it. My friend has a very large Alienware (M17X or M15X, can't remember) which has a very large screen. Though I admit that a bigger screen is nice, I'm not gonna sit more than 2 meters from my screen if I'm watching from my laptop.
-For monitors I'm not sure, I think you have to buy a DVI-HDMI adapter to connect to a monitor, maybe some other more experienced member can comment on this.
