Apple online store? Received my MBA within a week, so I guess it's possible. Yeah, you can purchase it at a student price. No verification is needed for the student pricing.

QUOTE(ajul @ Oct 23 2011, 11:28 PM) how much different with malaysia price? u save alot or pay higher?:-) No diff whatsoever (actual conversion upon receiving my credit card statement from Malaysia - maybe a bit higher, maybe a bit lower - dunno - see how the exchange rates goes). Other than that - just bragging rights of getting it from a Apple Store. :-P

QUOTE(Alen_Infinite @ Oct 23 2011, 12:30 AM) 20Mhz or 40Mhz can slightly explain on this ? hopefully just my silly setting cause this. still have very high expectation on the device. Some iDevices will have some problem with Wireless-N routers. Not sure with MBA though.. 40Mhz is for Wireless-N i think

Hi there, last year December i've bought a Macbook Air 13' with 4gb ram. Seldom use the macbook air as it was a gift.( Used less than 10 times )
Yesterday i've started using it to watch movies on my Air using VLC, after an hour watching. My screen suddenly become bright like fade white ( still can see the fonts and the desktop ) not white screen of death. Restart the Air wouldn't rectify the problem.
So i switched of the Air let it rest for a couple of hours. Switched it back on later and it's back to normal the screen as though there's no problem.
I'm using 10.7.2, efi updated to 2.0 before this happened.
What i want to ask is that i have 2 more months warranty left, can i send back to Apple to let them check?
Even though i don't have any problems now, will they still accept my macbook Air and send back for checking?
I don't want them open up and send back to me saying there's nothing wrong.
Hope those experienced these problem please share.

As stated, My macbook pro lcd hinges are quite loose. When Im trying to use it in bed the screen tends to fall back or front. How do I fix this? Is this defect under the warranty? I works fine when I use it on the table though.

There are no recall for this issues yet. But you can try calling AppleCare and see if they willing to help you. Else you will have to replace the hinges. Do not bothered asking Apple on the repair cost as they will only replace the complete display module, which will cost you a lot more than the hinges.
Did you put on hard casing around your MacBook Pro? Which year's model is it? I presume it should be 15/17-inch?
