currently using dell xps m1530, so i'm quite used to the size already was hoping to get the 15" one for the GPU but not sure if the extra 1k plus is worth it :S |

QUOTE(KKW @ Oct 26 2011, 12:22 AM) Only for my uni student only. budget not really a big issueI don't think other apple reseller will offer this price. Added on October 26, 2011, 12:23 am What's your budget and your usage? cheaper would definitely be better, was hoping to get something that will last me for at least 4-5 years minimum like my xps, it has lasted me for 4 years but it's failing because of the badly designed nvidia gpu in terms of usage, light gaming is preferable (low settings for newer games are fine), other than that, it's mostly normal student work like word processing, internet...and some minor photoshopping and lightroom |

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Oct 26 2011, 12:53 AM) ermm..if possible, yes of course but at minimum settings that fine with me Well.. to get best graphic you need to install windows in bootcamp.CoD/L4D2 etc - runs okay on my current laptop as long as it's performing better than the 8600m gt, i'm up for it I did install windows on my bootcamp but I didn't try any game on it yet. As if budget is not a problem to you. Get the high end 15" or 17". My self love the 17" screen This post has been edited by KKW: Oct 26 2011, 01:17 AM |

QUOTE(KKW @ Oct 26 2011, 01:25 AM) You should check out the 17" at apple store. i checked it out this eveningFirst I think is huge to me but after I purchase it. I like the big screen and it's not huge to me. didn't see the 17" model but the 15" one was a bit on big side for me the 13" one was just nice IMO..n i like it without the speaker grill at the side |

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Oct 26 2011, 01:30 AM) i checked it out this evening 13" speakers are extra junk due to the placement. if you're planning on gaming and doing a bit of photoshopping here and there, i'd suggest the 15" mbp. the current entry level 15" is pretty spiffy.didn't see the 17" model but the 15" one was a bit on big side for me the 13" one was just nice IMO..n i like it without the speaker grill at the side codicil* just be sure to do your homework. some resellers might still try to pass the early 2011 models as late 2011 models. The spec on entry level of 15" late 2011 model is good enough just be sure to do your homework. some resellers might still try to pass the early 2011 models as late 2011 models. Apple should release this spec earlier so I can save some money out of it.. |
