*
the is 2 issue,
1st: streamyx modem Inacomm W3400v WEP problem. cannot connect to the router.

change to TP-Link router.
there is a funny setting which will cause my macbook unaccessible to network.
Access Point Setting -> Channel
I change the location to Malaysia, Channel to 11,

then,

my macbook work like champion now.

now extended monitor watch hd movie, surf on macbook screen, for 1 hour d. still have 50% battery.

Extended monitor possible on bootcamp window 7 too. brows.gif

i couldn't decide between the 13" or the 15" MBP...any suggestions?
currently using dell xps m1530, so i'm quite used to the size already

was hoping to get the 15" one for the GPU but not sure if the extra 1k plus is worth it :S

Only for my uni student only.
I don't think other apple reseller will offer this price.

budget not really a big issue
cheaper would definitely be better, was hoping to get something that will last me for at least 4-5 years minimum
like my xps, it has lasted me for 4 years but it's failing because of the badly designed nvidia gpu

in terms of usage, light gaming is preferable (low settings for newer games are fine), other than that, it's mostly normal student work like word processing, internet...and some minor photoshopping and lightroom

Well.. to get best graphic you need to install windows in bootcamp.
I did install windows on my bootcamp but I didn't try any game on it yet.
As if budget is not a problem to you. Get the high end 15" or 17".
My self love the 17" screen biggrin.gif

You should check out the 17" at apple store.
First I think is huge to me but after I purchase it.
I like the big screen and it's not huge to me.

13" speakers are extra junk due to the placement. if you're planning on gaming and doing a bit of photoshopping here and there, i'd suggest the 15" mbp. the current entry level 15" is pretty spiffy.

codicil*

just be sure to do your homework. some resellers might still try to pass the early 2011 models as late 2011 models.

The spec on entry level of 15" late 2011 model is good enough thumbup.gif
Apple should release this spec earlier so I can save some money out of it.. sad.gif
