depends on your usage, what did you do for the 2hours usage?

But 30% battery for 2hours does feels like a lot of drain, what kernel did you use? Also, did you wipe the battery stat after flashing your ROM?

just some call n idle only...

#3 kernel...

wipe?? how to find that?

hmmm..I'm weighing between this phone and Mi410. Just when I thought I'm dead set for Mi410 the V4 thread of this phone showed up. I like Mi410 for its slim profile, big display and powerful spec. But Mi300 on the other hand won my heart with its community, dirt cheap, established development..hmm, decision, decision~

This phone can play video right? can play .mkv smoothly with support of codec? this might be deal or no deal for me.

I'm using mi300, I always think of "how nice if I can use 800x480 4" screen". Always thinking to upgrade to bigger screens.

Hm.. that's odd, I'm using it too and I have moderate battery usage.

You can find that option in the recovery mode (vol up + camera + power button. hold till screen lit)
in advance -> wipe battery stats

Note that it is better to do this right after the battery is fully (100%) charged for best calibration result

For me, I'm more comfortable with 3.2 - 3.7inch screens. Indeed 4inch screens are best, but with 800x480 resolution, it is common for blurrier image and bigger pixel size. I prefer 3.5inch 800x480 screens, much more dpi density and perfect fit size. The 3.8inch display like the ideos x5 is also great with the same resolution. 4inch and above with 800x480 resolution is not the prettiest display around, unless it packed with qHD res or similar.

Always remember that with larger screen size, holding comfort and pixel density does include in the equation nod.gif

ive owned mi410 once, a week actually,
imho, the phone is good except when you play long time with it & the screen getting warm, then only the problem surface...  it will not respond to ur touch, & sometime gone crazy,
satellite lock on also veryyyy slow
go check mi410 thread @ lowyat..
rom support oso cannot compare mi300
*
hmm, rather than -ve of Mi410 I rather want to know the +ve / advantage of the Mi300. Those problem you stated I think already there's a solution for that from what I read there.

hmm, will try and find test unit around JB and play video. If acceptable in Mi300, I'll take this phone instead I think. hmm.gif

On a side note.
I just tested both SuperAOSP 8.6 AW vs Ubuntu #3 kernel (EAv6 kernel) and found out SuperAOSP gives more battery usage per charge compared to #3 kernel.

You can find more on it here
Although there are report on boot loop if CM7.1.0 users try 3rd party kernel.

though it doesn't happen in mygingerb brows.gif

i really dont get it.. got boot loop when flasing using ubuntu kernel by edgar.. but that kernel working great at eav5.. ironically, 7.1.0 stable working great with eav6 kernel where eav6 kernel is 2.6.32.9-ea edgar ubuntu #3.. this kernel thing really2 fooling around me..
