hi ppl, i ned recommendation for an external HDD casing and external HDD for a notebook..i think i'll get a WD HDD but abt the casing,I'm not sure..wat's a good brand? I've noticed on the pricelist's that they group external HDD in 2 categories-Combo & USB, wat's the difference?

If i'm asking in the wrong section, plz point me to the right direction..thanks for the help

hi ppl... my old seagate 20g harddisk just dead.. i found some weird sound when i start up the computer.. it was like the disk spinning inside was hitting something.

pc cannot detect harddisk some times. even if the bios detected, it will automatically restart when i try to enter the windows.

so here is my problems now. i will buy a new harddisk tomorrow. the TARGET i aimed is 80GBs with MAXTOR or WESTERN DIGITAL. i want to copy some important files from my previous harddisk.. (i think the files stll not corrupted) is it better for me to buy a SATA harddisk? will my motherboard supports 2 harddisk simultenously? (both IDE and SATA).

pls help me... and thx in advance!!

I wonder whether your BIOS will be able to detect the new 80GB hdd that you are about to purchase.
