Hey guys, i wonder that whether a motherboard that supports both ATA and SATA hardisk could support the both types of harddisk when connected at the same time?

I checked all 3 HDD manufacturer, WD, Seagate and Samsung.
It seems that WD has a much lower power requirement. and seagate only draw power from +12V rail. While the WD and Samsung draw from both +5V and +12V rail My PSU has plently of +5V rail but I doubt +12V has enough, because I think my 6600 overclocked edition(510MHz/1.1GHz) might draw a lot power from +12V rail
AthlonXP 2400+ 512MB RAM 1 HDD 1 DVD-ROM 1 PCI card NO floppy DD Acbel 300W with +12 @ 14A

I found out... that... my hard disk top cover is silverish... but my cousin's one is black...
Does this means... I got an old stock?
