seagate provides 5 years and WD provides 3 years warranty...is it very important the warranty??or most HDD last more than 5 years??

yeah the warranty is important. you'll never know when you need it. sometimes the hdd might last longer than 5 years, sometimes for some reason it might go KO within the warranty period. just to be safe.

i use maxtor, samsung, seagate before. Maxtor gone after 2 years, seagate gone after 3 years, but samsung still performe after 3 years..
but i think seagate perform better.. |

anyone know how to RMA from Maxtor? I had a old 80GB hardisk broken, warranty will end this November.

now with the recent WD new range of drive, the WD Caviar Black comes with 5-year limited warranty to challenges up with Seagate.

wow disco... means your HDD know how to 'sing'.. haha... i recommend you to take back the HDD to the shop for warranty... and do backup all you stuffs.. |
