Yeah, go for seagate...I have been use seagate for over 6 years, quite ok rclxms.gif . My 2 30GB seagate hard disk only failed after 6 years serving me under very hot temperature (my room always hot especially during hot day). 1 got clicked sound already doh.gif , and another one start to slow down, so I cepat-cepat buy another hard disk to replace it before my data gone... smile.gif

Currently I have a seagate 200GB IDE 8mb too, serving me well at around 35C-40C depend on whether...biggrin.gif

I had 2 Maxtors in RAID 0 for over 4 years, never gave me a problem. Perhaps I'm just lucky smile.gif

In Lowyat, everyday is pcfair heh.

160gb and 250gb performance will not be the same, normally bigger hard drives have better performance.

I'd like to ask , when pc fair , will the hard disk price drop a lot ?
Since shoji@gz said it'll only drop the most Rm10 only.
I though of buying a 250GB , but not sure whether should wait until pc fair or not since i am out of hard disk space of my 80GB .

Im seagate supporter also... running 2 Seagate.
Their only weakness is generate hi temp... both running about 47C.
need add cooling fan to reduce temp to 40-41C.
I put one 8cm fan 2cm away from HDD for cooling it..

WD user can tell us hows ur HDD temp ??

My WDs are quite cool ... 38'C under heavy activity and 35'C idle (Depends on the ambient room temperature tongue.gif), only one regular 80mm fan blowing on them happy.gif

I have Seagate (emuling) & WD (system & storage) in my PC, the Seagate always will 2-5C (idle) higher than WD, and this is when I have a cooler attached to the Seagate and have a 80mm capalang fan blowing both the hdd sweat.gif .

Even though Seagate is hotter than WD, but I like it very much, quite reliable for me...I have been using seagate for more than 6 years...

Last time my 2 30GB Seagate operating in such high temp (I don't know the temp as I did not use any software to test that time), I think can fried egg on it liao especially during hot wheather and I still can it for 6 years +... whistling.gif cool.gif

Edited to add: Sorry if above statement have some common in my previous post...I do not remember I have post some same comment in previous post...tongue.gif
