Refer: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2012-...e-Tyre-Test.htm

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 the best choice. User/owner/buyer review: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear...symmetric-2.htm
Porche 991 also used it now: http://www.motortrader.com.my/news/Porsche-chooses-Goodyear/

For cheaper price go Nexen NT8000 or Kumho KU39 or Neuton NT8000.

Yup, call them last month, they only have 225/55/17 for neuton nt8000. NT5000 not bad but NT8000 tyre tread design is very good. Could you give feedback of that tyre (grip, comfort & noise)? TQ
*
Just used it for 2 days with only 120km covered. Everything seemed to be normal in dry road as my old donut (Duro 205/50R17). Haven't try it during wet day (waiting for it to rain tho'). Anyway, I felt that my car is bouncing quite obviously when cornering at 80kmh++ which I never experience before. Not sure it's due to the 215/50R17 profile or the tyre is not good enough for cornering. Noise wise, acceptable.

Kedai  Papan over price? U mean hing leong?
*
Yeap..hin leong aka Kedai papan. I'm not really sure if it's really overpriced but I won't return for sure.. the uncle staff a bit bossy. Besides, I tried 5 different rim designs just to compare and only spent a while to choose for this one but he was like very beh song.

Recently bought the XM2 (after lots of positive feedback here... and now it's very negative. Great, thanks guys biggrin.gif ). FC seems to have dropped by 1-2l/100 km, but this is only the first refill (on the other hand I never, ever got below 10l/100km, usually 11-12, and now it is 9? I did drive faster than usual, normally I only get up to 90-100 cause someone is blocking the way, but in the past few days roads have been clearer so I could drive 110-130.) The tyre is also pretty quiet.

On the other hand I had to brake hard today (almost missed an exit), and the ABS kicked in. In the dry! The first time the ABS got work, ever. That is a bit scary. I slowed down in time, but the G forces didn't feel that high.

In a review in Russia the XM2 did perform pretty bad, while another Michelin Energy Saver or so was on top. I thought that was because the XM2 is probably designed for SE Asian weather and doesn't perform that well when it's cold, but... oh well, it doesn't seem to grip that well even when it's hot (my previous ER60 were better, but then again those were semi slicks biggrin.gif In the wet a bit scary...).

Is there actually a better option for 185/60 R14? PS3 is for bigger tyres only. (But I'm stuck with the XM2 for a while, not economic to change them so soon).

May I know what tyre brand/model at your Lexus, if they used Conti CSC or Pirelli or Michelin for sure overpriced at SC.
You can call them first asking the tyre price & then compare with outside (tyre shop) price.

Not many special tyre produce 55r18 size, for grip & comfort you can choose Continental SportContact 5 or Continental PremiumContact 5 if drive mostly at normal road. Other special tyre like Michelin Super Sport or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 not produce that size.

Other choice Continental Cross Contact UHP or Pirelli Scorpion or Goodyear Wrangler or Michelin Diamaris is a specifically designed for 4x4 vehicles.

bergantung kepada keadaan tayar dan budi bicara pemilik kedai, jika tayar sudah tinggal besi mereka tidak mahu

Agree! The tyre shop will consider to trade if the tyre condition could recycle (boleh pakai balik) but the value very low.
