In the past at least one set has blown up in the UK or so, but that's quite a while ago, and amongst really cheap tyres it has a decent reputation, from what I can tell. Still I'd rather get decent ones from an established brand with good reputation, even if it is their entry level tyre. Tyres are the last place I'd like to skip on. Better drive on small steel rims than on tyres that aren't any good.

Achilles. Look around for it, people have had good as well as bad experiences with it.

update here : tyre price for bridgestone potenza re080 185/60/r15 priced at rm880 for 4/pcs @ bridgestone a.c.t kelana jaya..very affordable as it includes aligning,balancing,also got nitro gas..but u have to nego a bit with them..service is very professional..
shop is open 7 days a week,i got changed mine yesterday.

If in that budget try Nexen N8000 very good overall but not long lasting(finish fast-soft). If you could go to 215/45/17 among the best & cheap is Goodyear Asym2 but price RM450/pcs. My idea Goodyear Asym2 at front & nexen at rear, performance & comfort nearly same but for 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 (the budget still below RM1600). May be bad idea!

Anyone using 205/50R17? Seem to me very hard to find.
Was suggested to use Kumho KU31 215/45R17..is this tyre good?

Yes, 205/50/17 tyre very rare, 215/45/17 is universal size, most good tyre had this size.
Kumho KU31 not so bad but Kumho KU39 among the best, you also can try Nexen N8000 if you drive light japan/local car. If got extra budget go Goodyear eagle F1 Asymm2 or Conti CSC5 or PS3(CSC5 & PS3 expensive).

I found Neuton NT8000(Singapore Company) also cheap & good, but not many shop selling it.

Managed to find one shop selling KU31 it at 250 per donut. Might change to it as the reviews are good.
Never heard about Neuton but after some research, it seems to be quite qood. May I know where can I get this?

the tire price list only have 1 type tire for size 205/60/16, not other price for this size of tire?

Added on June 20, 2012, 3:27 pmMy favourite is Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 or Conti CPC5 compare with Conti CSC5 or Michelin PS3 or the most expensive Michelin Super Sport. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 very good & comfort tyre at reasonable price. Call Ban Hooi Klang for good price.

hi bros, need some advice. deciding to change my stock tires to either these brands:
1) Ze912
2) v12evo
3) c.drive2

current stock is nct5 205/55/16. price for 912 and v12 is the same @ 320/pc. can trade in my current stock for 150. but heard 912 will wear off really fast as it's soft hence kelik recommended v12.

my preference would always be xm2 from my previous car. but with 16" it's a killer now. any suggestions? i'm looking for low noise good wet road holding type. thanks bros~
