and i wondering....if i change ...means i need to change 5 tyres, right? including the spare tyre....

any good replacement for CPC2? which perform on par/better but with less noise..  current size 185/55/16.. budget is around CPC2 price..

is xm2 performance ok compare to cpc2?

XM2 is ok. Grip isn't great, depends on how you drive. Fc is good, it is comfortable and quiet. If those are your priorities and you drive slowly then it is a good choice. Should also last long. Didn't experience grip problems in the wet (never tried hard enough), only in the dry when braking very hard.

Yes. But no need to change all 5 at the same time, since spare is rarely used and only used for short time only, u can choose to put 2ndhand tyres on ur spare. Or u cn change all 4 first and change the spare later on.

Depends. If u drive fast, corner fast, u can take thr GY F1 or PS3. But if u are on budget, u can take achilles, kumho or nexen. And if u drive like an uncle, yoko is a good choice,.

And all of these i think are better than ur silverstone. Juz my opinion

Thanks bro. May I know among the Achilles ATR Sport, Kumho KU31 and Nexen N6000, which one has better performance in wet weather, and not so noisy?

Also any other good tyres at around RM250+/- for 205/50R16 size?

Thanks

Ive tried kumho before, now im on atr sport. Nexen i havent try yet. In wet i think kumho hav less grip then achilles. Noise wise, both become noisy when wore off.

Bro I did check out my car just now its indeed 17" 225 /45 / 17 " for front and 245 / 45 / 17" for rear.

If you were to look at the website below, Michelin does manufacturer 17" version.

17" Michelin

I recommend Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, Porche 911 2012 official tyre. Average price but very good performance(dry/wet) & comfort too. Ban Hooi Klang price RM500+ starting 225/45/17.

need advise from all pros here..
car: myVi stock rims.
stick back to stock size? 175/65 R14?
or 185/60 R14??

-max speed =<130 sunny day (dry)
-looking something can reduce my FC.
-planning to get michelin xm2, can goodyear assurance fit into my stock rims??

Reduce FC go for skinny tires. Driving on 155 XM2 and you won't consume at all, lol. It's might get a bit dangerous though. Think stock size should be fine. Beware though that grip isn't the XM2's strong point, and going for skinnier tires won't help. I'm driving on 185/60 R14, and got the ABS to kick in when braking hard (not very hard though). In the dry. That is _not_ a good sign.

But if you drive carefully, yeah, why not.

Conti CSC3 good, some owner mentioned better than latest CSC5 & same performance with G/year Asymm2 but this tyre wear fast if put front. The Goodyear Assym2 can last nearly twice compare with CSC3. Last year my officemate bought Peugeot 308 come with this CSC3 tyre & only last 6-8 months, he change with same tyre at service center, very expensive but the new tyre blow(koyak) at highway hit small rock at speed 140kmh. Now he happy with Goodyear Asymm2 at 1/2 price. He said cheap, very good grip & comfort/silent too. biggrin.gif
