Hi. Anyone know what is the current price for Michelin XM1 and XM2 of 195/65R15 in Penang ? Is it good tyre on dry and wet surface ? Or any other model of tyre that perform very well on dry and wet surface ?

175/70 R13 Tyres are very less choice now.
Should I find an OEM/2nd Rims for 14inch choice?
Anyone know the price for 4 rims for cheap or budget one?

Normally, what do you guys do with the spare tyre stored in the boot? I'm planning to change all the 4 tyres. And I don't think there's any use of keeping the spare one. Give it to the owner? Or can sell?

Nolar, was thinking of changing the whole set to michelin. i wonder if it's good to keep a goodyear (stock) tyre as spare. Like what you said, if puncture use what. So, i guess it wouldn't pose a big problem if i temporarily use my spare tyre (from a different brand) to drive to the nearest tyre shop to change. Or not good?

Yes, 205/50/17 tyre very rare, 215/45/17 is universal size, most good tyre had this size.
Kumho KU31 not so bad but Kumho KU39 among the best, you also can try Nexen N8000 if you drive light japan/local car. If got extra budget go Goodyear eagle F1 Asymm2 or Conti CSC5 or PS3(CSC5 & PS3 expensive).

I found Neuton NT8000(Singapore Company) also cheap & good, but not many shop selling it.

Bro..Just changed all my 4 donuts and rims at Kedai Papan Klang.. Planned to change to NT8000 but due to no stock, I have to make do with the NT5000. 215/50R17, RM230/pc for both series.
The rim is enkei replica i guess but the boss highly recommend.. RM1550/set. The tires price are good but the rim seemed to be overpriced since original set around 1900/set. Only know it's just few hundreds difference after i checked thru' the net. doh.gif

Kdai papan rims are always overpriced, around 200 or 300 bucks more than other shop. I juz changed (not in kdai papan) to 17inch only for 1.1k+. Ssr type f replica. Where in shah alam can get below 1k.

Yup, call them last month, they only have 225/55/17 for neuton nt8000. NT5000 not bad but NT8000 tyre tread design is very good. Could you give feedback of that tyre (grip, comfort & noise)? TQ

Is not a good tyre for me. I am using 195/55/15 XM2 on my waja, not good in dry nor wet... it doesn't grip. I remember one drizziling night, and I was going down very slowly on a slope in a open space parking lot, when I hit the break, I can hear the tyre skid and still moving all the way down the slop. Luckyly the car infront is moving, if not I would have bang the car which I can't do anything at all to avoid.

On dry, when I drive fast on corner, I can hear the tyre skiding sound..."eeeee" . To me, not recommended to use XM2.

Now I using XM1 195/65/15 , I can feel the same things with you . The grip not so good because going down hill and suddenly emergency brake and it cannot stop completely and still moving .

Which tyre is more recomemded ? I plan to upgrade to Michelin PS3 but it didn't have the size I want. If not mistaken , it only have 195/55/15 but I just want to change the two of the rear tyre.

I was using PS3 195/55/15 before using XM2. PS3 is much much much very much better than XM2. It really grips on to the road... During raining, I can still drive fast on highway with confident. And when is dry, doing fast cornering is fun with this PS3. However, because of it grips, your steering will feel heavy, u will feel a lot of different when making a slow u-turn, but is a good thing, as what people said, "you can feel the road". The reason I change from PS3 to XM2 (and I normally change all 4 tyre at one time) is because PS3 tyre is noisy compare with XM2.
