last Sat, i turn on Portable Hotspot (using Digi). Use it for about 5min then turn it off. At that time, battery level is around 98%. Then I go shopping at LYP. Later, if not mistaken, after 2hours+ I discovered the phone is hot. Battery temp raised up to 42C and battery level drop to 52%. don't know what happen and it is first time happen. So, I turn on Flight Mode just incase there is 'WiFi leaking' from the Hotspot. Only then, the temp & battery start to drop slowly. 1 hour later I reaches home, battery level @ 48% and temp @ 36C.

Does anyone encountered this?

i'm using the foxhound right now. if you try the voltage setting from its original post in xda, you might save some battery. but, it was no guaranteed to work on every phone. try it with cautious..

If you had dough and patience..then wait for Nexus Prime. That phone no need any tinkering/modding/tweaking in order to get the latest firmware update. Any updates is coming On The Air somemore.
But if you like tweaking and customize your phone then SGSII is the phone for you :-)

i think the prime(or whatever it is) size is about the same size as SGS2 thanks to the curve design.
if the spec and the design looks very tempting, i will think about changing sgs2 too...

The curve is nice but also worrisome. Sit on it one time scared gone. I was hoping for an upgrade from s2 in terms of camera though. Is there anyone near TTDI/1 u area I can play their s2 to get a feel XD should totally organize gathering

Try Maxis center TTDI branch, should have a unit to play with. Last time i went to check for stock so often their staff remember my face already.

Also, I turned on full anims again for the first time after turning it off then second I turned off my device. It's... not bad.

well SGS2 is for those who like to tweak tweak n customize customize.... for me i need a FULL-FEATURED browser o a phone with no limitations

Iphone 4S does pack an imba camera plus everything-that-works software with some new added features(only apple knows 'innovation' if u know what i mean). So i guess it will still sell given da market base and certainly da unfounded hype. well for upgraders, just make sure u slap one big "this is Iphone4S" sticker on ur iphone. lol

prime o prime - i call it Android prime lah. will be at no.1 when released. no doubt bout it. if u like it buy it simple as that. but prime o prime does not come with a hype. so ppl will asking u , "what phone is this? why didnt u buy da new iphone? lol

in the end it zomgly comes down to personal perference.

If u love customizing phones/flash custom rom,galaxy s2 is the way to go! Im an ex iphone user too,never regretted my decision just dont get g model sgs2,or all the custom rom goodness will be gone one more thing,sgs2 auto brightness very jumpy,always jump from low then bright then low brightness,it cant decide its mind,just to let u know

annt00, I have never used Dive on my KI3, so all I have to do is:

deaktivate with TB the Samsung-Account
-> reboot the phone
-> restore the Samsung-Account without data
-> activate the Samsung account again
-> now you can create a new account

?

I do not see what he means when he says freeze with TB and then restore teh app without data? I thought TB just freezes, not uninstall

True. But for some unknown reason, at least amongst my relatives, they take a look at my phone and go "that's the new Samsung Galaxy right?".

Seems the Sammie hype machine has been working overtime around my parts (Shah Alam/KL).

Though the Prime will undoubtedly be special. Special enough for me to want it badly even without setting my eyes on it yet.

Oct 11 will be a very hard day for me tho, as unlike with the SGS2 (I lost my i4 + it was my kutu month) or even my Torch (family switching to BB lol), there will be no way in hell I can justify buying the Prime.

BTW, anybody have any idea how much battery drain the window animations are causing? Just turned them on again and actually liking the swish swish. Not worth it though if it's a massive battery drainer.

How do I get a samsung account? When I sign in in DIve it says : Register your phone now...and a samsung account is required to use the service...
