Look at the prime specs first. It's definitely better to get the nexus if the specs are comparable because you'll always be the first to get official updates (without rooting).

However, if it's gonna take ages to arrive here again and/or Maxis is gonna inflate the pricing like hell, then really, just save the hassle and go for SGS 2.

i'm planning to get SGS2 soon... but just now realized that there is i9100 and i9100g version of SGS2. SME now only selling i9100G which i found to be worst than i9100 in term of CPU and GPU..


should i buy the i9100g or try my best to get i9100 or just wait for Nexus Prime?

It was actually trial and error. I follow step by step but don't work like you said. So i just uninstall it (while still frozen). LOL. Then restore and it work.

there are still old stock of i9100 around. U just have to look more.

What is the worst case scenario regarding battery life? Like the iPhone 4? iPhone 4 with live widgets I have like 60-40% left by lunch time (1pm) from 7am stop charging

yea cant access no matter what the fuk i try, all other apps can use, just internet/dolphin browsers category, cannot! as far as i know the proxy settings by default only affects browsers and not apps, thats why only my browser died, i use cwm reflash, use odin reflash, reflash modem, wipe system, reflash also cant zzzz in the end only nandroid backup can use

As for battery life, it depends on how heavy ur usage are...if super heavy then 5 hour can drain from 100 to single digit

It actually depends on usage. For me take off from charger before i sleep say midnight. Until next day after work say 7pm, i still got about 30 - 40%. But my data is always off and I only on data when i need it. Screen time about 3 - 4 hrs. Average 20mins of voice calls, 30 mins data surfing and some light games.

What's this on the different sgs2 version? How can two versions go by the exact same name?

different in processors. original one using exynos is I9100, those new batches are I9100G using TI OMAP processor and a bit downgraded GPU.

different processors, so far there was one guy who did a cf-bench benchmark and he said it's 10% lower than the sgs2 i9100 non g benchmark, cf-bench is more accurate that that crap quadrant so its quite legit.

worst case... 3-4hrs and its flat... that's proably coz using 3g data... playing games, etc... it depends a lot of usage and so very subjective.

i have a fren who is not on 3g plan. so phone used only with wifi. he says the phone batt lasts 2.5 days. for me... i'm catagorised by forumers here as heavy user -- 30mins refresh for tweetdeck (and now using uber social). there's news reader, there's gaming... emails... lasts abt 8-10hrs. basically enough to last the day at work.

nowadays, i stretched the refresh duration (so i dun become heavy user) and charge the phone all the time.
