No need to charge up to 8 hours. Charge till it full, the phone will stop charging after that. Go green....

p/s: it is not mention in the manual as well...

When i 1st bought the phone, how long i need to charge it? 8 hours?
To condition a new Li-ion battery, fully charge it; it should be allowed to charge for 7-8 hours on the first, initial charge.

In other words, when you get your new cell phone - and it has a Li-ion battery - allow it to charge for 7-8 hours even if the cell phone claims to be fully charged. (It is preferable to use outlet charger vs car charger or USB charging via computer because of the voltage difference)

After that, there is no reconditioning necessary for Li-ion batteries since they don't suffer from the "memory effect". However, be sure to avoid fully draining/discharging the Li-ion battery as much as possible; every time a Li-ion battery is fully discharged, it loses battery power and life. (That doesn't mean your battery will die if it is ever fully discharged; it means it is best to avoid fully discharging when possible)

Try to recharge Li-ion batteries when they are at 15-25%. Similarly, avoid heat as much as possible and when (if) storing Li-ion batteries, store them not at full charge.

guys, now i'm using batista foxhound 2.1 + Abyss kernel 1.8.1. this is a BLN enabled ROM (i disabled it on BLN free apps).

i've faced some weird moment when my back and menu key became unresponsive. i cannot click on them. but my phone was not hang, still can open apps through the touch screen.

the keys will become ok after i wait at least 2-3 minutes. does this happen because of the BLN was disabled?

to be more accurate, sync means it will sync at certain times, whatsapp runs on push notification, so it will push to your phone anytime you get msg. this technically doesn't eat up alot of battery as it is an "as when needed" system. similarly, facebook for android also supports push notifications, and also gmail.

the ones that don't are games like word with friends and hanging with friends, unlike their counterparts on ios, so i don't play these games on my phone, just play on my ipad since it has push notification
