ATTENTION

USB is connected. Remove the cable.

I press OK button but the USB debugging tick box is not "ticked". I thought of arranging some of my files in the SGS2...Sigh.
*
U need to unplug the USB first, then tick the option.

But i've seen values as low as a constant 9% on my friend's device. Android os is high simply means alot of services/ apps running in background? I'm aware of the fact that apps running won't drain battery life since android knows how to manage the apps, but not the same case for services that might send/receive data in the background? So my intention is to find out these running services that drain my batt life, i'm suspecting all the samsung hubs though. Most rooted users would have these frozen but i'm on KI1 stock rom, G version user here. =/
*
Android OS percentage will increase if your phone is idle most of the time. The percentage figure is the battery usage, x of (y-z); y = total battery; z = balance left. Here is my usage....

Some word of advise. If you wanted to own Samsung flagship products, buy it before it reached 10 millions worldwide. Coz things will get change after that. tongue.gif

TI OMAP has one feature that Exynos lacks off... Dual Channels if Samsung implemented it.

Anyway, none of G owners posted any benchmark here so we can't judge how it performs in statistical benchmark. Maybe you can be the first?

How do you boot the phone into safe mode  blink.gif

Press power and menu, then release the power key but keep pressing the menu button. The word "Safe Mode" will be displayed on lower left if I'm not mistaken.

They remove it quite some time ago. Dunno why though.

Thanks. Never heard of this safe mode before. Let me try it out.

Edit: Maybe not unless i need it.
*
The Safe Mode is SGS2 is a bit different than the SGS1, just tested it out and you need a fast reflex to do it.

Still using the menu button not the home button. The trick is....

Power on the phone as per normal usage (do not press anything, except the power button).

The next step is a bit difficult. If you have the stock animation, at the second animation transition, immediately press and hold the menu button (before the button lit).

If still having the stock boot sound, 1 - 2 seconds after it played.

Just be very careful when using 3rd party keyboard. Some of em can't disable the popup keys (the display popup that showed the pressed key) when typing in password field like the stock one. Make sure nobody is looking at ur screen.

No need to charge up to 8 hours. Charge till it full, the phone will stop charging after that. Go green....

p/s: it is not mention in the manual as well...

To condition a new Li-ion battery, fully charge it; it should be allowed to charge for 7-8 hours on the first, initial charge.

In other words, when you get your new cell phone - and it has a Li-ion battery - allow it to charge for 7-8 hours even if the cell phone claims to be fully charged. (It is preferable to use outlet charger vs car charger or USB charging via computer because of the voltage difference)

After that, there is no reconditioning necessary for Li-ion batteries since they don't suffer from the "memory effect". However, be sure to avoid fully draining/discharging the Li-ion battery as much as possible; every time a Li-ion battery is fully discharged, it loses battery power and life. (That doesn't mean your battery will die if it is ever fully discharged; it means it is best to avoid fully discharging when possible)

Try to recharge Li-ion batteries when they are at 15-25%. Similarly, avoid heat as much as possible and when (if) storing Li-ion batteries, store them not at full charge.

Well, I never did that for all my Li-Ion phone and the battery is still kicking.

i realize batista ROM's auto brightness is too dim! and the sound is too soft... was better on androidmeda... i think i've flashed my phone 5 times already today...
*
He done some mod on the framework to reduce the brightness, you can decompile the framework and revert the changes. smile.gif

Edit: Opsie... he moved out the mod from the ROM. So it is the kernel adjusting it. Flash other kernel might increase the brightness.

REMOVE overscroll in menus and in browser & replace them with the good old samsung bounce

Edit. Contacts and messaging was not modified and the blue glow is still there. I think you need to modify the apk of these apps.
