Hi all, now that I've rooted my phone withCF-Root, it's on KI3 stock firmware at the moment. Flashing a ROM is as simple as putting the zip file into my sd card, go into recovery mode, and flash from there right?

Used to do this every few days for my zte blade, just wondering if it's the same.

Many thanks

hey guys, if i have apps on my SDcard (internal storage) and I backup with Titanium backup. then i do a clean wipe and flash a new ROM, will titanium backup correctly? coz when you wipe, the internal storage isn't wiped... so when you restore apps with data on internal storage, will it be restored properly?

Wipe cache, davlink, or factory data reset will not delete your sd card storage.
So in the other hand, sd card also can't be restore by CWM or TB
*
yes i understand that. but there is still some data left on the phone portion, so if i back up with TiBackup and later restore, will this portion of data link well with the data stored on the SD card storage to run the app with no glitch?

or do i need to move everything back to phone first, backup, then after wiping, restore, and move back to SD?

Just realized my camera is very bad at white balance... In incandescent lighting, it's super yellow! Compared to my cousin's i9100g, his camera's white balance was spot on!

How about you guys?

Hey guys, I think I'm getting fed up with my camera issues. Running rooted on stock KI3. Any advice on how to send back to service centre without being rejected?

Or it should be ok? Since I'm just running on stock firmware. Any recommended service centre which will close one eye?

I live in USJ, so the one in summit is nearest to me

guess what guys? remember my camera problems with the green thing on the top left corner, and also the very yellowish white balance?

I flashed the new Androidmeda custom ROM just 5 minutes ago, and all those problems went away! WOOHOO!

haven't tried the pink spot thing... the green thing was bugging me more coz it appears all the time when i'm trying to take quick shots at dinners (which usually have incandescent lighting)

anyhow, i've reflashed to Batista Foxhound 2.1... couldn't stand the DPI of androidmeda and it didn't really have much extra features...

might be firmware.

changed to batista, so far no green thingie too...

just wondering, if i flash the androidmeda, and it lowers the dpi, but when i flash to batista, the dpi should be back to normal right?

screen looks abit weird to me now... LOL might be psychological, considering it's 2.40am now!

my bad... it didn't make the green thing go away. at 2am i didn't realize i was holding my phone the other way around and wasn't looking at the right corner... so maybe my camera is faulty after all...

Because sync and notification are different.
*
to be more accurate, sync means it will sync at certain times, whatsapp runs on push notification, so it will push to your phone anytime you get msg. this technically doesn't eat up alot of battery as it is an "as when needed" system. similarly, facebook for android also supports push notifications, and also gmail.

the ones that don't are games like word with friends and hanging with friends, unlike their counterparts on ios, so i don't play these games on my phone, just play on my ipad since it has push notification

then how do I set my fb and other apps to push notifications??
*
just click on notifications in settings (tick the box) and it's all set. push notifications is dependant on the app. word and hanging with friends are not using push yet because they don't want to leave eclair users out, which i feel is bollocks. just get on with the show, and support down to Froyo only! anything older than Froyo should just forget it!

On a side note, my green thing is still there and definitely pink spot is obvious on white surfaces...

but overall photos look pretty good (with good lighting), note the green thing at the top right corner...

such a shame that a great camera is ruined by all these imperfections... sigh

I don't see notifications in settings...you mean the app's settings there?
*
yes for FB, just click the menu button, then choose settings, and click on notifications. it's most likely turned on already. your partial wakelock must be a one off thing. just uninstall and reinstall. reboot by holding on power button, turn off, and turn on again if you don't have clockworkmod recovery installed
