Got some problem with KI8(NEE) leak firmware.
4x3 portrait keyboard not working. instead of character, it will just type number.

I'm downloading frankenstein KI8(XEU) now.

Just install Htc ime keyboard mod on my SGS 2. Love it.

Siyah Kernal 1.8 alpha states that the AOS bug is gone, is it true or its just like speedmod where the logging was disabled, still reading the thread from the back.

Not sure as i do not have this bug but laptopguydude says initial impression is it is gone. For 1.8 alpha version, gokhan did not disable logging cos its alpha and he may need logs of error. All previous siyah kernel got logging disable.

The problem is how do we define this 'bug'? because we do know AOS sure use battery but our only indicator of AOS usage is the battery stats which is actually relative (eg. screen on low, aos high) so until now i also dont know if this bug exist or not

Its been 3 hrs since i updated to 1.8,so far so good,android os is 3% i see tonight will it increase or not but for now,i think its fixed. i did enable logging too btw.

But does custom roms give you significant improve in battery life? Some people claim that high android os % has nothing to do with battery drain.

if i had to choose between getting a g and waiting for something else should I? the price of sgsII is really low now
