this rom got wide data or not?
*
it should be full wipe; data wipe, partition cache and davlick cache.

back up every thing with CWM BEFORE WIPE!!

P/S: battery life is ok but face some hang issu twice in the last 12 hours. i just change the off screen governor from conservative to ondemand. will report back the finding in the next 12 hours.

Just realized my camera is very bad at white balance... In incandescent lighting, it's super yellow! Compared to my cousin's i9100g, his camera's white balance was spot on!

How about you guys?

working fine for me.

When I bought my phone, it was RM1900, now the phone can get for 1700, but mine was no g and that is probably with g

you will notice that you save like 12% in cost, and it is only marginally lower in some aspects...so either way, it is still a better deal, unless of course your favourite past time is clicking flash in Odin.

Yes, many of us bought it when it was RM2300-2800.
Crazy enough ha? But no complaint, just a phone, not a property lol

What rom you using? Was it during sleep or in use? Any UV? No info how to help.

I had some thing like this once but was device hang during sleep cause by too low UV and 100 mhz. If normal use never have this situation before.

Technically don't need, if you not flash to a different ROM ,
but I still prefer to have TB as well. The more backup the better.

CWM back up: you back up the whole phone, like you clone them. crucial for any problem after loaded the new ROM. you can just revert back to your initial setting if the new ROM cannot load completely/ stuck at boot screen.

titanium back up: you can back up all your apps and reload these apps again after you load new ROM. bear in mind, you need to download the titanium back up apps again after you done the full wipe. the titanium back up will automatically detects your previous back up. just run the batch back up for easier process.

hahaaha, that's one more thing. may be you installed some shabby apps, your phone don't like it so it keeps booting or hang. try uninstalled the recently installed apps. these might help to trace which apps is the culprit. works for me before i use custom ROM.

UV really can prolonged the battery life significantly? Or it just like OC? doing for fun?
Because there's an article saying that, the result is not that encouraging, won't save much battery..

nope doesnt do a thing, i UV no UV cant really tell the difference, our usage every day is different, unless you do a benchmark, then maybe can see a bit difference.

if you see here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229633

the UV version increased the time limit by 14 minutes

besides i dont really recommend UV, it MIGHT cause lags/hangs/distortion in graphics or phone reboot etc etc if you're not really good at UV and didnt test it properly

i think many of the early adopters here bought it at the initial launch price - RM 2099 sleep.gif

I bought mine RM2050 in july month. Feel like want to cry cry.gif when the price drop to RM17XX in less than 3 month my phone age. But after reading the quote below, I feel cool2.gif

QUOTE
The original Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100 is using Samsung own Exynos 4210 SoC CPU and ARM Mali-400 GPU. On the other hand, GT-I9100G uses Texas Instruments OMAP4430 CPU and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. Both of the CPU is running at 1.2 GHz based on dual core ARM Cortex-A9. Not sure the exact CPU performance difference. However, the PowerVR SGX540 (which was used in previous generation Galaxy S) is much slower than ARM Mali-400. And can’t enable Anti-Aliasing (4xAA and 16xAA) with Chainfire3D Pro.

Hi,

Im currently using a Samsung Galaxy SII, I flash the ROM without record down the original firmware version. As I know if something happend to my phone, Samsung Services Centre will reject my phone as I got different firmware. Am I right?

After flashing couple of times, now settling down with CriskeloROM Gingerbread V22. Which is the lastest 2.3.5 firmware.

Anybody can share their PDA, Phone & CSC Version?

Yup. If you still can find one. i9100G is a slightly downgrade version. You also cannot install i9100 apps to i9100G.(eg: Asphalt 6 HD SGS2 from Samsung apps web). But though, not really different when in real use, just in benchmarking imo. smile.gif

I9100G also have advantage, which is better support on tegra games. About better GPU in I9100? can you really see it with your bare eyes graphics quality is better?
If you don't intend to flash rom for now, I9100G can be a good choice. Moreover, it's cheaper!!
