QUOTE(snoopdog17 @ Feb 27 2012, 11:00 PM) Hi. I'm abit confused wit how the supplementary card GST charges are being charged. According TS, for principal cardholder AMEX fee is waived so the Rm50 GST onli applies to the MCard. Whereas for supplementary, RM25 is charged to every Amex and Mccard. So, does this means that 1)Supplementary can have a choce of either cards Amex or Mccard, therefore Rm25 GST fee per year? OR 2)Supplementary must have both cards therefore GST fee = RM50 per year? Thx The answer is 2. RM 25 for each card.

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 27 2012, 11:02 PM) The answer is 2. RM 25 for each card. Ahhhh if thats the case, there is no benefit in applying for a supplementary card then? Every cardholder is better off having their own set of credit cards as Rm50 fee is charged on both principal and supp cards and rebate 5% is shared. How about joint accounts? Can my mum n dad both be the principal cardholders and share treatpoints as a joint account?

As long as the principal cardholder name is different, each cardholder will be enjoying separate RM 50 cash rebate. If I remembered correctly, somebody did share that if one principal card holder has two sets of MBB2 cards, they're going to going to share the same RM 50 cash rebate even though the card numbers are different. Can somebody confirm this? Correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Feb 28 2012, 01:14 AM) no, you dont. Visa/MC only gives you 5x treatpoints. Since when does Maybankard 2 Visa or MC give 5x TPs for purchases? Not even for overseas transactions or purchases during weekend. It only gives x1 TP for all transactions.

Better to sup only the Amex card and cancel the Mastercard to max the benefits. The RM25 sup fee for Mastercard (Maybank2 cards) does not bring additional benefits.

The RM25 sup fee for Mastercard (Maybank2 cards) does not bring additional benefits. You can't cancel MasterCard or VISA, it comes as a package. Once you cancel that, AmEx will be gone as well. Maybank doesn't do business rugi. If like that, all of us only take AmEx.
