Merchants have about 7 days to post the transaction... you will get your weekend cash-back as part of the Jan 2012 rebate.

They won't process it during weekend. No point. They'll process it on next Monday.

The customer service said (and also confirmed) that the cash-back is not counted in Jan 2012. I still need to wait for 4 more days to see whether the transaction went through, or whether it appeard in maybank2u.

Very sure the Customer Service is ill-informed... if not in Jan 2012, given in Feb 2012 ?
You can call again to enquire to see if the next CS says the same thing.

I dont have any problem for my recent MBB2 cards transactions and cash back issue even though i spent on last day 31 dec 2011. All credited....

As long as the posting date for the merchant is 31st of Dec, there will not be any prob getting the cash back.

maybankard2 doesn't not have Visa already? Only Amex and Master Card? Asked the woman at the counter she said if want Visa need to apply standalone Visa Infinite.

Which counter? Not every Tom d*** and harry can apply Visa Infinite haha. I think mastercard is by default. You have to specify it clearly if you want visa.

Should be still available, I had just applied about 2 weeks ago. Amex + Visa, but like the member here mentioned, you need to highlight to them.

Yes. Transaction date is on 31st Dec 2011, posting date is also on 31st Dec 2011, then the card holder will get the weekend 5% cash rebate in early January and it is part of the December 2011 rebate.

However, if the transaction date is on 31st Dec 2011 but the posting date is on 1st Jan 2012 or later, you will still get the 5% weekend cash rebate for all the transactions made on 31st Dec 2011 but it won't be credited into your account until early February 2012 and it is counted as part of your January 2012 rebate.

the form ticked is visa + amex, but get master+amex..and the counter ppl say visa apply standalone pulak..haih

Added on January 5, 2012, 4:10 pmInfo on the SMS notification, the SMS alert will only be sent for certain transactions that match a certain criteria. Therefore, you will not receive the alert for ALL transactions.

SMS is completely free, even if roaming overseas. You can switch off the alert if you want (though not recommended) by calling 1300886688.
