If I didnt remember wrongly actually the msos is something a code send to your register mobile number to double confirm for the payment but I remember apple doesnt need it... It just need is key in the card number and particular then it work fine as long as enough credit inside.... Remember that Apple may charge or hold certain to make sure that the card is workable or enough credit inside...

Does anyone know why I can't access to public bank online acct? Already tried with Maxis 3G and Unifi and both also failed to load the account main page.

guys i have a question:

so now I've gave my debit card number (and security pin) to a hotel for reservation. I have checked - no charges incur on my card yet.
Lets say now if I do a "no-show", the hotel will still charge my credit card (in Terms & condition la).

Now the evil mind in me ask: what if I withdraw all money from my debit card, what will happen? the merchant wont get $$? will i get trouble from the bank?

(pls dont flame me, i'm just curious...XP)

**btw it's a mastercard.. CIMB

Supposedly they will hold a deposit from your bank account and in Maybank, you'll see something like per-authorized......

By the way, you shouldn't have given your card security PIN because that is not necessary at all.

Ops. Sorry I typed the post in a rush.. it's CSC I'm referring to anyway...

Yeah I'll expect something like 'pre-authourized transaction', but I don't. So technically if I withdraw everything now, will my card get overdrawn (and hence the bank charge me a big buck, like maybank's card:

Hi everyone, first time posting in this section so if my following question have been answered elsewhere do kindly point me the correct thread/post.

So I've started using my Alliance Bank Debit Card (The normal Mastercard ATM Card with Debit function) to pay for fuel at Petronas...I noticed that the amount charged was not deducted form my account and for each time I use (now twice) there is an "Earmarked Amount" of RM200.00...so currently there's RM400.00 "Earmarked Amount".

Now, this normally isn't an issue but the amount earmarked cannot be used for any transactions nor can it be withdrawn. Now, I'm a bit of a OCD so I sorta want to know whats going on...it's kinda driving me nuts lol.

Any help/comment in regards to my situation is very much appreciated.

I'm not quite sure if my experience will help. I've used maybank debit card for fueling too. everytime I use it, RM200 will be deducted first (the so called 'pre authourised transaction' or something). After a few days, RM200 will be debited back into my account, and some RMxx (fuel I used) will be credited.

I guess that's some kind of security feature to ensure your card has enough $$. Else if you use a card with RM10 inside to fuel a whole bus, the merchant will go PK.

Every debit card will pre-authorize RM200 from your account just to make sure u have enough amount. If you dont want have the pre-authorize rm200 been hold or deducted then you try swipe inside the counter with the exact amount....

Yes it take out rm200 each time you refuel but it will debit back and charge the exact amount after a few days... Sometimes you are lucky, it just a two days but sometimes it can be five days... It all depend on the station that when they submit the payment to bank....

Hi everyone, this is my first post in this section, I have some question to ask.

i have a RHB Cash Connect Visa DC which connected to my Saving Account, the cash back feature of this card is not as good as my Public Bank Day2Day Visa DC, and this stuff cost me rm20 per annum!!! (Public Day2Day only rm8) mad.gif

The normal RHB debit DC (chepest one, and no normal ATM card already) still need rm8 per annum without any feature!!! vmad.gif
I feel like i want to close this RHB account but no choice since my company used RHB for payroll.

So My question is:
1. Is it possible to switch my cash-connect DC to the normal RHB-Debit DC? (for reduce the yearly rm20 to rm8) laugh.gif
2. Is there any fees need to pay or prepare for this switching?

FYI,

if you do not need the dc, cancel it
ask whether you can convert your existing savings account to basic savings account (Option I) with normal ATM card, refer http://www.rhb.com.my/deposits/savings-acc...basic_main.html

else you might consider opening a new basic savings acc option I, the customer service will tell you blah blah blah, but u just insist that you want BSA option I or else you will complaint to BNM. That's how i get mine done at RHB USJ branch. You can also print the page above and if the cs dares to say they do not have that option, show it to him/her and ask him to chk with the manager or even HQ

fyi, under BNM ruling, all banks in malaysia must provide at least one type of basic savings acc with no annual fees bankard

Thanks for your reply

from the saving account on the website, looks like my current one is MySave, which they mention rm20 per card annually.

one more question, does the Basic Account option 1 provide internet banking?
