Same S(H)ITuation lor... they say if i dont want the unlimited must select when open account... somehow i blind, cannot see where is the option and reading to what the FAQ it says go to branch go for the RM8... Harimau...

I don't see such option at all when applied.

By default, when opening Saving Account, it is the annual fee type. If don't want $8, have to ask for Basic Savings. I guess the website did not teach you how to get the one without annual fee, only shows that it is possible.

By default no fee option, you can choose for free option when you open account via MAE app.

Any changes later need to go to branch.

I applied just now. Yes damn charged me RM8 too. I told the CS these isn't any option for me to select. I no need unlimited. By right all free. The CS no idea. She will feedback to management. Lousy.

Another things is this account I only can see from MAE app. Website login not show up.

I just fb harimau, replied ( Please be informed that RM8 being charged during the first time application of the ATM card is for unlimited cash withdrawals at
Maybank ATMs in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia. However, you may proceed to the branch to change the option below:

Domestic & Selected Countries (Malaysia,
Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia):
● Free for the first 4 withdrawals per month at

Maybank ATMs.
● RM0.50 per withdrawal from the 5th withdrawal onwards
● Note: Fee will be waived for balances above RM5,000 or single withdrawal of RM1,500 and above.

Thank you.)

Based on the reply, they not meant for refund but opt out for 2nd year RM8 charge. biggrin.gif MBB just earn RM8 by default from all new applicants.

thats the thing... cause from their system the annual fee option is default as YES, thus we need to walk in to request it to NO only can go for the 4 Free withdrawal, which is the other way round from what was written in the FAQ and Website...

So far your case any feedback from them???
