too many heroes. i found this debit card very limited currency and free withdrawal country

it's a very small amount of RM8, they will just waive it.

my case is branch change my option from free 4 withdrawal to RM8 annual fee and unlimited withdrawal on their own without my consent.

after complaint, they waive the RM8.

At first the SC said like what mentioned here but I pointed out those info from MBB website and said that is not supposed happened. The SC said she will raise up this issue to Maybank Global Access team to investigate and can't promise when it will be settled. It is their mistake. If stated clearly there is RM8 fee upon opening then I won't so quickly go apply now because I need to go to branch to change it. Why need to create trouble for our own.

anyone try the mbb currency conversion? how was the rate? my friend comment not good

For those who opened the Maybank Global Access Account, can you see this account from https://www.maybank2u.com.my/ after login? It not showed in my maybank2u but only in MAE app. Another issue here.

I chat in Maybank FB messenger, officer said it is ATM card application fee. Normally, for the unlimited cash withdrawal at Maybank, it will be charged as 'Debit Advice RM8'.

After 1 week... finally my RM8 came back to papa...

How?

1. Make complain to branch - No idea what account is that. show them FAQ they still say need to get the debit card 1st.

2. Email Harimau, cc bnm - They push it to the branch i visit to settle it. So branch officer call me say wait for the debit card 1st.

3. Debit card sampai - walk in to branch. Say can refund but to makesure next year they dont charge me, also show me that the option is NO to AF now. Waiting for 1 hour than ask me go back 1st they will call me. 5.30 pm say money refunded, they have confirmed with HQ etc.

Walao so troublesome for this especially weekdays go branch. Regret to apply.

next year charge you rm8 and then update faq.... (same story like MAE card, end up waste time and go branch to cancel it)

if that really happen than just cancel it lor...

cause i ad got Harimau basic saving account which come with free AF debit card, no point to have so many debit card also and i'm not going to draw any foreign currency overseas pun...

i think not many including me will take the hassle to walk into branch for RM8.
if online complaint can resolve, we will choose the online route

Note the forex fees when using the card.

that why i say...limited currency for asean and then charge fees like credit card. at least wise wont charge 1% + 1%

I don't trust maybank on currency conversion. Previously it mentioned zero conversion charge on mae account, but end up still got charge, this new account must be similar.

Expensive fees incure...

Got others alternative which give better rates & lower fees...
