QUOTE(a.ihsan @ Sep 21 2011, 08:34 PM) well technically its both... a bad photographer uses poor techniques from the comments, its because using a large aperture like f/1.8 and f/1.4? if smaller aperture like f/3.5 then it will remain sharp

It isn't an issue, or rather even if there is differences it isn't big.

If you recompose in the same plane, then it might work. However if your subject moves slightly front or back, your shot is screwed. Especially when shooting at f1.4. Sifu do you use center AF point to focus then refocus? cuz I use other Af point to AF then refocus, image a bit blurry This post has been edited by Calvin Pixels: Sep 21 2011, 09:40 PM

It appears even sharper when you print them out. I've done 12R prints and they look fine.

Two is One and One is None.

if same lens and setting...recompose etc while remaining in focus will of cos depend on distance of subject. 85mm 1.4 with subject 1m away ur dof less than 1cm...go to say 5m away abd becomes around 20cm...enough allowance to recompose.

^ I lol'd seriously.
The small size of V1 makes that lens looks like it has it's own ability to capture image without a proper DSLR body.

^The flash is harsh.
If you can have the light fall softer on the subject, then it will look nicer. Also it will be good if you can do better composition/framing.

QUOTE(g_pentium @ Sep 21 2011, 11:19 PM) C n C please.. Nice fill light there, maybe you should ask her to pose ( she+DSLR aim at end of the bridge ) and take her pose more towards the right side to make the image more story like IMO.

Not sure about this lens... but I'll probably suggest you to step down bit. QUOTE(g_pentium @ Sep 21 2011, 11:19 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « C n C please.. The fill flash too harsh. You can definitely notice the deep shadow behind the bag and the flash overblown the bag. Probably a bounce or diffused flash will be better
