^ I lol'd seriously.

The small size of V1 makes that lens looks like it has it's own ability to capture image without a proper DSLR body.

^The flash is harsh.

If you can have the light fall softer on the subject, then it will look nicer. Also it will be good if you can do better composition/framing.

It is VERY HARD to take lightning. Not because of the skill you need, but luck.

Speaking about CaptureNX. How many of you uses it?

I use Lightroom to tweak my photos before exporting instead.

I see. Cause in my case, LR is enough for me to do all my editing and exporting.
