so bro irbean when you buy the filter do tell me what type you buy haha XD
--------- anyway KLCC got nikon center right? i dont remember i saw it...hmm... thinking service my camera liao if my lunch gang got go KLCC. XD just wonder how is the step to ask the servicing camera... take camera go in with memory card and lens and service? (duno got free body cap or not like last time Kai from digitalrev send his failure pink D7000 to HK nikon center haha) i duno wan service my 70-300 cheapo lens or not. hmmm (because got fungus on it, and i rarely use it, and scare the fees is around 300 then i rather get a new one haha.) go use my lens fund to service first then baru save my money later.. better than "buy liao lens later no money service then no syok waiting camera body in nikon center haha" This post has been edited by Agito666: Nov 8 2011, 05:21 PM |

Nikon centre KLCC is just a collection centre, for service they will send them to BTS or PJ branch if BTS one cannot do it. Ask there before

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Nov 8 2011, 03:19 PM) I bet you can really notice the difference even you put it at 100% ,says you shoot 24-70mm at f/2.8. even you use hoya hmc will show not much difference in color unless you purposely compare. reason for high price because the glass and the material. |

QUOTE(iXora.ix @ Nov 8 2011, 04:29 PM) I will choose B+w over Hoya because of quality. I own 2 B+w filter and hoya, definitely B+W win because of their Are u sure bout that? According to this lens test HOYA appears to have better UV reduction. glass performance like no white balance change and low glare. and also, get the new one, the nano coating However, because B+W is using the premium German scotch glass thus it provides more transparency than the HOYA HD. http://www.lenstip.com/113.4-article-UV_fi...nd_summary.html Btw, Hoya Pro1Digital has relatively same transparency as the B+W MRC but however much harder to clean (resource from depreview). The new nano coating sounds cool huh. But it is also 50 dollars different comparing the B+W MRC CPL USD130.50 vs. B+W XS-PRO Digital Kaesemann MRC Nano Circular Polarizer Filter USD178.50(In Australia not sure bout Malaysia). For 50 dollars(RM150) different, u get it slimmer and "MUCH easier to clean from "VERY EASY TO CLEAN" lol! U decide. Price based on international seller http://maxsaver.net/BW-Polarizer-Filter.aspx This post has been edited by ikki9394: Nov 8 2011, 09:02 PM |

Isn't that the purpose of the test? using a lens that already prone to flare can actually emphasize the effect of the filter properly to see how well it perform. It is a filter test not lens test right? Hoya won't price their product expensive than the current one which is better right ? I couldn't get a better link anyway. But its a 2009 article so shouldn't be that outdated right? B+W filters are always more expensive because they are using the premium scotch glass(easier to clean and high transparency) as been mentioned before. This goes the same to the Heliopian(sp?) filters. |

nikon NC filters also have very high transparency and easy to clean.
and they're cheaper than the hoya pro1 and b+w equivalents. reason i guess why ppl dont go for nikon, is cos ppl think they need a uv filter which the NC isnt. |

Oh my bad, but still 34 dollars different. Btw just found out that kaesemann version filters are actually suitable for Malaysia users because of the humid weather.CPL and KSM CPL is two different type of CPL that B+W offered.
