Sometimes need to copy big file over wifi, very slow. Normally when I work, I'm connected via GBLan.

Right now I see my wifi is connecting 130/130 but transfer file still 30mbps. Not a big deal lah but just want to see if I'm configuring something wrong.

The max speed is for Show only lah. I can never achieve such speed end to end data transfer.

Do you'll use back the default LAN IP? I always like to use class B IP but with class C subnet. My LAN IP usually is 172.xxx.xxx.xxx, this allow easy to have multiple zone of subnet for testing and zoning.

Added on March 3, 2012, 10:12 amSo far my PPPoE up for 18.5 hours no dropping.

True lah. we'll never get 130mbs.

I just don't understand why it's slow in one direction.

Using iperf with -P 10 (actually 6-7 streams already enough), I can get around 75mbps from MacBook to router to server. The other way around the most I can get is 25mbps (30mbps without encryption). And CPU usage is quite high, 50-60%, during the iperf test.

Flash 80% CPU, can still login via winbox, still responding to pings, ssh/webgui not responding, wifi clients can't connect. Happened this morning, not sure what time but I only realized it at around 11am.

Overnight was downloading just one well-seeded torrent over lan and seeding about 10 others but less than 1mbps upload in total. Nothing else.

Than just down it to 5.06. Is it possible? What improvement or features on the latest firmware?
